In the diary room, you said “ there is a 135% chance of me staying this week”. What went wrong?
Mark: The trajectory of how the week was going wasn’t looking good in my favour. Anthony has a certain way of acting around me, and his mood changed in the middle of the week. That was a big warning sign for me. Anthony has a lot of sway and influence on Kyra. I did mention at some point that it’s actually better for Anthony’s game if Dane stayed, because Adam will gun for Dane before he guns for Anthony. Dane is a shield. It’s also better for Kyra since Kyra is guaranteed $20,000 as a second place prize. If I was still in the house, maybe I could have been taken to Final 2.
Had you stayed in the game and got your way the rest of the season, how would things have played out?
Mark: If I had stayed, I would have gunned as hard as I possibly could for that next HoH, hopefully winning it and taking out Adam. Everyone would have taken out Adam, hopefully, and then going top three take out Anthony to go top two with Kyra.
Why would you take Kyra to the Final 2?
Mark: I would take Kyra because that is my best bet at winning $100,000. I came into this game not for second place prize. It was first place or bust. I want to win because I love the game and that’s the show I want to be a part of.
Had you made it to the Final 2, what would your main argument have been as to why you should have won the game?Mark: This is assuming that I would have actually taken out Adam and Dane. I would have explained that my strategy all along was like this, to get into a good alliance, float along, and when it came down to crunch time take out the big targets.
Do you think that the remaining Pretty Boys will remain loyal to each other, or do you see any of them taking Kyra to the end?
Mark: I see Anthony taking Kyra to the Final 2. He did bring that up before. Dane is a smart player. It’s a tough one for Dane to bring Adam, it’s a tough one to bring Anthony being the talker that he is. The only person that I could see not bringing Kyra would be Adam bringing Dane. If that happens, that would be a wild stretch of the imagination. Kyra is basically locked in.
Adam mentioned that he would make sure that a member of the Pretty Boys wins the game if he went to jury. Will you do the same?
Mark: Absolutely, because I don’t know that Kyra has anything that they could say that would give them a chance to win $100,000. We have ran the whole game, we have created a legacy. Kyra being in the game has nothing to do with them fighting to be in the game, as much as they claim. I love them dearly but the sole reason they are in the game is cause collectively as a group we all decided we are going to bring Kyra to Final 5. Every single person that left that house has a Pretty Boy stamp on it, including myself. The game was pretty much over for everyone the second that they walked in the house.
If you had to rank the games of the Final 4 houseguests from best to worst, how would you rank them right now?
Mark: That’s a very good question. Very very difficult to answer. I will have to go with #1 being Adam. By brute force, he has managed to dominate through the game having a massive target on his back the whole time. #2 would be a toss up between Dane and Anthony, but I am going to go with Dane cause he won the HoHs, he put himself in the trenches, and he did have to work with targets on his back. He played a phenomenal social game. Anthony #3. He played an amazing social game. The whole idea of never being put on the block, that’s incredible. #4 Kyra.
You told Anthony that you would probably have to vote for Adam over him. Why did you tell him that?
Mark: I would have to vote for Adam. I know he is upset and he is like “how could you say that after everything that we have been through? I saved you so many times”, but it doesn’t work down to you saving me a couple of times. It comes down to the whole game. Anthony, you have played an incredible game but look at Adam. He has had a massive target on his back and he still ensured his safety by winning comps.
Are you happy with the game that you played?
Mark: I am very happy with the fact that I made it this far. Could there have been adjustments that I made? Yes but overall I’m very happy with the game that I played.
