Big Brother Canada 7 - Kiera Wallace Exit Interview

April 5, 2019

It was constantly brought up that you said to the cameras that you wanted to get the showmance out. Do you you know if you really did that?

Kiki: I absolutely did that. I 100% remember doing that. I’m pretty sure it was Dane who spilled the beans on that one. If it wasn’t, it must have been Anthony. If it wasn’t, then I don’t know.

In your initial speech, you said that Dane stabbed you in the back and you know that you are up there because of him. What made you say that?

Kiki: Dane never really fought to keep me. I really noticed him get distant, I noticed his behaviour change. I think in my gut I knew there was something bigger going on but I wanted to be able to trust him as he did share a lot of information, but all the information he shared was in benefit for his own game. He was really good at angling conversations for his benefit. Ultimately I think that’s what cost me.

At what point did you decide to go after Dane in your speech?

Kiki: It had been brewing for a while. I wanted to see how he acted on the day of the eviction, and he really didn’t speak to me much. He kind of avoided me and laughing doing other things. I thought “you have showed who you are in terms of whose back you really have in this game”.

In your second speech once the Blood Veto was revealed, you said to keep you in there so that you can go after Dane. Would you really have done that had you stayed?

Kiki: I would have. I don’t know if I would have done it right away, but it was definitely something where I felt that the bridge had been burned.

Had Dane remained loyal, how long would you have been willing to keep him knowing that he was closer to Este than to you?

Kiki: I’m not really sure, to tell you the truth. I knew it was best for him to get rid of me to get even closer to Este, but I was trying to let her know that I don’t fully trust this guy. I was hoping if I had stayed longer that she would have started to realize that too and we could work together to get him out.

Do you respect the game that Dane is playing?

Kiki: I do. If I’m looking at it from an objective perspective, I think he is doing an incredible job. I respect Adam in the same regards. It’s just hard to play against players like that.

Do you think that Kyra made the right move for their own game when they decided not to use the Blood Veto?

Kiki: Absolutely not. Kyra is such an emotional player. They couldn’t let go of the fact that Chelsea left last week. By them not choosing to use the Power of Veto on me, it was their one move that they could make as their last hurrah to try and make it seem like they are making a really big move and they are this strong player. It was a horrible mistake and they are going to be walking out very soon.

In his goodbye message, Dane confirmed that he was aligned with Adam, Anthony and Mark. You mentioned a couple of weeks ago how smart it would be for those guys to be aligned and branch off to get close to one girl each. Even though you knew about it, are you surprised that his loyalty was to them over you and Este?

Kiki: I’m not surprised by that. I think Dane kind of spread his loyalty wide and it was very thin. I think Mark trying to get close to me was to have his back, but I didn’t trust Mark from the get go. It was different for Dane and I. We connected on a personal level. Had he not have made that alliance initially, I think Dane I could have worked together in this game.

The girls keep talking about a guys alliance but seem to do nothing about it. Can you see anyone taking that shot before it’s too late?

Kiki: If anyone is taking that shot, I am banking on Este. I would love it if she could do that. It would bring so much joy to me. I hope my last speech gave her some sort of wake up call in terms of who Dane really is. I needed to let the house know that I wasn’t going down without a fight and there is something bigger going on. If not her, then I really think Cory is a smart player. I think she would make a move putting two guys up.

Within that guys alliance, which one of the four guys do you think is least loyal to it and most likely to turn?

Kiki: I am thinking it’s going to be Adam. He has fallen really in love with Sam. It is a true true romance that they have together, at least from Adam’s perspective.

What was it about Este that allowed you to connect so well with her?

Kiki: Everything about her. She truly is the most magical human I could have dreamed up to have had as a partner in crime in this game. She is incredibly smart, she is incredibly loyal. I can’t say enough great things about her. Meeting her was amazing. Some people go in there and they are lucky if they find a showmance. I was even luckier and I found a soulmance.

Who do you think is playing the best game right now and is most likely to win?

Kiki: As much as I love Dane and Adam as players, I really think that they are going to end up combusting and it’s going to be someone who is laying a little bit lower that is going to sneak in for the win. Hopefully Este. That would be the absolute best case scenario. If not, I have faith in Damien. If he can win HoH, he his going to make a move. Otherwise, I think Anthony has a really good shot.
