Big Brother: Over The Top Day 4 - The safety ceremony takes place

October 1, 2016

11:00-12:00 PM: Monte went over his plan with Alex. He said that he is thinking about choosing Neeley to be safe first because it would shock people and throw them off. Alex asked who Monte is planning on nominating next to Jason. Monte said he doesn’t know yet, though he wants to take Jason on since he has an advantage over all of them. Monte spoke to Shane and Whitney next, telling them that he is thinking about saving Cornbread, Danielle, Neeley and somebody else first. Monte said his goal is to give out safety in a way that will allow him to see how certain people react.

12:00-1:00 PM: Alex, Morgan and Whitney spoke in the storage room. Alex said she thinks that they are good for this week but she is more worried about next week. Alex, Morgan and Whitney agreed that they would be nervous if Shane were to win HoH, because he would likely split the girls up. Alex said they need to watch out for Monte and Shane, not telling them too much information. Whitney said she can’t help but to feel bad for Kryssie because she really likes her. Alex brought up that Shelby told her Kryssie has been spewing game to people, so she is not just sitting back like she claims to be. Alex then mentioned that Monte has Scott in the palm of his hands right now. Cornbread’s name was also thrown out there. Whitney said that’s why those guys are dangerous. Shelby joined the girls and talked about girl power. Morgan said they need the boys to think that they will do whatever they say. The girls talked about branching out in order to get closer to others throughout the house. Shelby suggested that getting close with Kryssie and Scott could be beneficial. Cornbread then entered the storage room and broke up the talk.

1:00-2:00 PM: Alex told Shelby that there is no way she is even a candidate to go on the block. She advised Shelby not to talk to Monte until after nominations. Elsewhere, Jason told Danielle that it would be stupid of Monte to put him up when he basically told him that he would be his secret weapon. Up in the HoH room, Monte told Cornbread that what Jason doesn’t understand is that his plan already has so much momentum behind it. Monte said he doesn’t know who to nominate out of Kryssie and Shelby. Monte figured that Danielle would vote either of them out over Jason. Cornbread said Monte could crash Kryssie’s game by putting her on the block. Cornbread thinks that Kryssie is the stronger competitor of the two. He suggested that Kryssie be the one to go over Shelby if Jason wins the veto. Monte wasn’t sure if he should leave Kryssie off of the block because she is stronger than Shelby, but he figures that neither would have enough people in their corner to take him out. Cornbread let Monte know that he walked in on Alex, Morgan, Shelby and Whitney talking earlier. Monte said Shelby is trying to get in with them by getting through to Morgan.

2:00-3:00 PM: Whitney spoke to Monte about nominations, telling him that Kryssie has a better shot at winning the veto than Shelby does. Monte said that would save him from having to nominate someone else. Whitney said she doesn’t want Shelby to go on the block since she is on their side at this point. Monte said he would have to nominate Jason and Kryssie then. He told Whitney that he is leaning that way. He reiterated that Jason needs to go this week. Whitney said she is concerned for next week since the only connections that she has made up to this point are with Monte and Alex, though she sees Alex and Morgan talking a lot. Whitney said she will keep it in the back of her mind that Alex is a superfan and is smart. Next up, Shelby spoke to Monte and let him know that she will owe him if he doesn’t put her up. Monte said he doesn’t see Shelby as a threat to him. Monte then rephrased that and said he doesn’t see Shelby targeting him. Shelby said she does not want the people who are going to win the physical challenges to be pissed at her. Shelby said she will not put Monte up next week if he doesn’t put her up this week. She also said she would not use the veto if she wins it, unless Monte wants her to. Monte said he is not guaranteeing anybody anything at this point, because he does not yet know what he is going to do.

4:00-5:00 PM: Alex told Shelby and Whitney that any time Monte is with Cornbread, Shane or Scott, she is trying to walk in and break it up because she does not want them getting really close with Monte. Alex said the last time she walked in, Cornbread was talking about how he cannot stand Danielle. Alex thought that the pawn could be shifting from Kryssie to Danielle, though she admitted that she did not hear the full story.

7:00-8:00 PM: The first safety ceremony of the week took place. Monte saved Neeley, Whitney, Cornbread, Morgan and Shane. Afterwards, he told the houseguests that his choices give them a chance to read into his mind, though he does not recommend that. Monte said he picked people randomly in no specific order. Big Brother then announced that the final safety ceremony of the week will take place tomorrow and determine who else is safe and who is nominated for eviction. After that, voting for America’s nominee will take place. Up in the HoH room, Monte asked Shane who should go on the block with Jason. Shane said he thought they wanted to put Kryssie up. Monte said he was just double checking. Shane said it’s tricky because they could always backdoor Jason. However, Shane said Kryssie would be a good option to nominate next to Jason since she would try to win the veto. Monte said Shane is right and it’s all about getting Jason out.

9:00-10:00 PM: Cornbread told Scott that he prayed to get an underdog int he house with him that he can grab and take to the winner’s circle. Cornbread said Scott is that underdog. Scott then told Cornbread that he always wanted to b really tight and loyal with the older person in the house. Cornbread said he would be happy if Scott won the game because it would give Scott a great start in life and he deserves that. Scott said he would be happy to see Cornbread win too, since the money would go towards his fiancee and his children. Cornbread said he has a 21 year old step son and he looks at Scott as a son in a way. Cornbread opened up to Scott about being worried when it comes to Shane. Cornbread mentioned that Shane had just told him that Jason doesn’t like him, though he did not give any reason for it. Cornbread said he sees it as Monte, Scott and himself. Scott said he thinks that Shane will be 100% solid as long as Monte is still around. Cornbread said that even Monte is getting worried about Shane. Scott said it really concerns him if Monte is worried about Shane. Cornbread clarified that he has nothing against Shane and does not want him to go, but he will be the first of their four to go if he continues to do what he is doing. Justin joined them. He said the worst decision that Monte could make is putting him on the block and in the veto competition, since he is going to win the competition no matter what it is. Justin said Monte better be ready if he wants to make enemies with him this early, since he will be coming for him if that happens. Justin said he knows that he can beat Monte in a physical competition.

10:00-11:00 PM: Monte and Morgan spoke up in the HoH room. Monte said if Jason had not played the game before, he would be safe because he would put Danielle up instead. Monte thinks that Danielle and Justin are the two people who have yet to show any signs of game or emotion. Monte expects Justin to be someone who will come out of nowhere and make some moves, though he does not see a reason to go after him right now. Monte worried that Danielle and Justin are working together and they may be able to reel Shane in as well. Both Monte and Morgan think that Shane will side with Monte over Danielle. Monte let Morgan know that he is thinking about nominating Kryssie next to Jason. Morgan said she was thinking that it would be best to do that. Morgan asked if Monte would put Danielle up if Jason wins the veto. Monte said he had not thought about that but he would have to talk to Shane before doing it. Monte told Morgan that he would think of nominating Danielle next to Jason if Shane didn’t have something going on with Jason. He also thought that the girls would want Danielle out over Jason, making it less beneficial for him to put her up. Moving forward, Monte assured Morgan that he will not backstab her, Alex or Whitney. Out by the hot tub, Whitney assured Shelby that she has her back. She said that the two of them, Alex and Morgan can be very strong together. Whitney said she would be for Danielle going home next week if one of them wins HoH. Morgan then spoke to Whitney about her talk with Monte. She let Whitney know that Monte wants the two of them and Alex to be the solid core. Whitney asked if Morgan thinks that Monte is handling everything well. Both girls agree that he may be talking a little too much. They discussed the plan for Jason to go home. Whitney said they cannot let their hearts play a role in their decision making. Morgan suggested that the move is one that will get the least amount of blood on Monte’s hands as the HoH.

11:00-12:00 AM: Monte told Whitney that he will not backstab her. He gave his word and said he will not go back on it. Whitney said she would not do that to Monte either. She gave him some advice to keep his explanation about his nominations as simple as possible even if the others press him for information. Next, Monte promised Alex that he will not backstab her. Morgan and Shelby spoke by the hot tub. Morgan mentioned that she sees Cornbread and Scott together all the time, though there is no conversation whenever she walks up. As for Shane, Morgan said she cannot get a feel for him and she thinks that he should watch himself with the whole Danielle thing since he is putting a big target on himself. Morgan and Shelby discussed that they cannot deal with Danielle.

12:00-1:00 AM: Alex told Shelby that she will be pissed if Monte puts them up. Shelby said it might happen, she is prepared for it and she think that it would be her if one of them goes up. Alex is concerned that everything she tells Monte will go straight back to Shane who she does not trust. Alex said Scott is like a sponge, taking in information while not giving anything back out. She said people go to Scott and want to work with him and he is playing it smart right now. Outside, Kryssie told Jason and Neeley that she is bummed about how nominations went today. Jason said he is definitely going up. Kryssie thinks that she will be too. Jason said Monte is an idiot if he didn’t take what he was putting down. Jason explained that Monte may succeed in getting the person out who is likely to get voted something by America, but that doesn’t mean that he will get it moving forward. Jason, Kryssie and Neeley discussed aligning. Neeley asked who would be in their alliance. Jason expects that he or Justin will be the target. He told the girls to bring Justin in if he leaves this week. Neeley revealed that she would target the girls if she gets in power. She said they need to break up the sorority clique, then they can take people down once that foursome is split. Jason said he didn’t think Shelby was in the foursome but she is going to do what benefits her.

1:00-2:00 AM: After Neeley headed to bed, Jason said he is screwed. Kryssie told him that it’s not over until it’s over. Jason said both Scott and Shelby are snakes. They talked about how alliances don’t last. Kryssie told Jason that it’s the two of them. Jason agreed and said that is all that they ever had. Jason admitted that he is not getting a good gut feeling about things this week. He think it is dumb to take out the twist rather than weaponize it, especially when you know that someone else will take a shot at him. Jason thinks that taking him out will only make Monte a target even sooner. Kryssie said she picked her ride or die in Jason and she will not screw him over.
