Big Brother 21 Day 39 - Nick wins the Power of Veto

July 27, 2019

1:00-2:00 PM: Feeds returned at 1:10. Players were picked for the veto competition. The veto players are Holly, Nick, Sam, Cliff, Jess and Tommy. Jack will be the host.

6:00-7:00 PM: Feeds went down at 6:18 for the veto competition.

8:00-9:00 PM: Feeds returned at 8:10 following the veto competition. Nick won the Power of Veto. Kat spoke to Holly to suggest that it may be more dangerous to leave Nick and Nicole in the game together than to leave Nick and Sam in the game together. Holly said that she would have to think about it. Kat then asked Christie for her thoughts on the matter. Christie said that Nick and Sam are more dangerous. Christie explained that Nick would need them if Sam is gone, as he would have nobody else to work with. Kat admitted that she is a little bit nervous to go on the block against Sam. She later mentioned that she could get people to swear on the bible that they would keep her. Up in the HoH room, Holly said that if she nominates Kat, it is as a pawn. If she nominates Nicole, it would be as the target. Analyse said that she would prefer to see Nicole go on the block because she wants Sam to stay. Holly said that she cannot trust Nicole but she worried about leaving both Nick and Sam in the game after having nominated them. Kat joined the group. Holly said that she does not want to piss Nicole off by putting her up as a pawn. Christie said that nominating Kat is the way to go. Kat mentioned that she will have people to target if anyone votes against her, as opposed to not having anyone to nominate right now. Christie added that it will squash that Kat is working with them, so Nick will then feed Kat info all week. Holly asked that the Six Shooters and Kat not tell anyone that Kat volunteered to go on the block. She did not want people to question why that is happening or why Kat would feel safe doing so.

9:00-10:00 PM: Analyse let Sam know that Kat and Nicole are the names being thrown around as potential replacement nominees. Analyse suggested that Sam try to switch it to Nicole if Holly is saying Kat’s name. Elsewhere, Nick talked to Kat about being happy that he will now get to spend the summer with everyone in jury if he ends up going there. Kat said she is paranoid that she will be the one going on the block. Kat asked Nick not to say anything. Nick said that he does not want that to happen. He did let Kat know that he would not vote to evict her if she ends up on the block. Nick said that he would like to gain everyone’s trust back. Kat thanked Nick. She talked about having a weird feeling that she is going to be the one going on the block. Nick assured her that she would be staying unanimously. In the HoH room, Analyse pointed out that everyone freaked out about the idea of Nicole going on the block. Analyse told Holly that she would not mind if she wanted to make that move. Holly said it’s not that she wants to do it but rather that she needs to look at every option. Holly said she feels bad that Sam will be leaving due to her. When Analyse said that he does not have to leave, Holly said she feels as though it will come back to bite her if he stays. Analyse said that she would like to see Nicole go prior to the double eviction. Analyse told Holly to think about her game rather than doing what is best for the alliance. Holly explained that she isn’t that worried about Nicole coming after her since she would have to win a competition first.

10:00-11:00 PM: Nicole told Nick that she is happy for him. She said that she feels bad for Sam. Nick brought up that Holly said that Sam got caught in the crosshairs, implying that he feels worse since Sam is on the block because of him. Nicole said she is a little bit concerned that she will be going on the block. Nick said he doesn’t think that Sam has any shot at staying this week. Nick told Nicole that Sam is happy about getting to go see his kids if he does leave, but he feels guilty because Sam is his best friend and he did not do anything wrong. Elsewhere, Christie asked Cliff if Sam knows that he is going home. Cliff said that Sam is trying to gain some sympathy by putting on a pity party. Christie told Cliff she thinks that Holly mentioned that Kat wouldn’t mind being a pawn since she feels safe.

11:00-12:00 AM: Christie said that Holly seems to be in such a bad mood. Analyse said that she is always tired and sleeping, which she doesn’t get. Analyse told Christie that Holly isn’t sure who is best to go out of Nicole and Sam. Christie believes that it would mean that Holly, Jackson, Nick and Sam are definitely working together if Holly decides to keep Sam. Christie sees on benefit in nominating Nicole and sending her home when she has not won anything. Analyse let Christie know that Holly brought up that point as well. Christie said that she will not be voting Nicole out, and neither will Jess or Tommy. Christie thinks that it would be really dumb to put Nicole on the block. Christie told Analyse to vote with her gut but she argued that Sam is really good at the game. Christie said that she is not going to speak up about it until after the veto ceremony, since she worries that they would try to put her on the block if she did. Analyse explained that she would like to have Sam stay, because she thinks that he has her back, but she does not want Nick and Sam in the game together. Christie said she doesn’t think that Nick would come after them if Sam is gone. The girls talked about trusting Holly but not Jackson. Meanwhile, Holly, Jack and Jackson discussed the current situation. Jackson questioned if it is really that bad that Nick won the veto. Holly and Jack talked about Analyse feeling as though Sam is a number for her. Jack said that he would have said to get Sam out first since he is the bigger comp threat. Jackson agreed. Jack argued that things played out to their advantage. Jack and Jackson believe that Nick has no option but to save face with them if he wins HoH. They discussed that they can let him take someone out for them before they take him out themselves. Holly admitted that her original thought was to take Sam out first but that had started to shift after talking to Sam. Jack said that Holly got a huge blessing in terms of Kat deciding to offer to be a pawn. Holly said that Kat going up is great but she is worried about everyone’s discretion. She believes that they have made things more difficult for themselves, and she worries that someone will let it slip that Kat is a pawn. The three then discussed what Holly can say when she puts Kat on the block. Jackson suggested making it sounds as though she was torn between Kat and Nicole, the only two neutral people, so she went with Kat because Nicole has been on the block more recently and was treated poorly. Holly said that she will tell Nicole the same thing when she talks to her, and lay the guilt trip on her. Holly said that she does not want Christie accidentally telling Nick that Kat is a pawn.

12:00-1:00 AM: Nick told Tommy that he has got to prove himself again. He said that the best way to earn their trust back is to win HoH. When Tommy said that Nick has always got his trust, Nick said that he still has some rebuilding to do. Nick said that he will do everything that he can to get them back, as he does not ant them to have to worry about him. Christie and Tommy then spoke. Christie said that Holly and Jackson are acting a little weird by spending a lot of time alone and not telling them much. Christie said that Analyse feels the same way. Christie worried that Nick and Sam have a deal with Holly and Jackson since the plan to nominate Nicole is being considered so much. Tommy said he had a feeling that something like that was happening, so he let Holly know that he would do whatever she wants. Tommy said that he wanted her to feel as though she could include him if something changes. Christie told Tommy that she will be voting to evict Sam. Tommy said that he will do the same but he wants to make sure that they are not excluded from the plans. While Christie believes that they obviously are, Tommy said that he does not want to jump to conclusions.
