Big Brother 18 Day 88 - Nicole wins the Power of Veto

September 10, 2016

6:00-7:00 PM: Feeds returned following the veto competition. Nicole won the Power of Veto. It was the BB Comics competition. Nicole’s time was roughly 13 minutes. James maxed out at 35 minutes. Nicole commented on how Corey didn’t like his comment because she was in it. She said it’s like his offended to be in a showmance with her. Nicole said she would have loved to have Corey in her comic. Nicole commented on how she liked Corey’s comic a lot and it was her favourite one. Corey replied with “we know, Nicole”. Nicole said they are going to air Corey asking why she is even in his comic. Corey said he wouldn’t have cared if the whole cast was in his comic. Paul joked that Corey would rather have the whole cast in it instead of Nicole.

9:00-10:00 PM: Up in the HoH room, Nicole told Corey that she should have thrown the competition. She said that she will be viewed as a threat now that she won by that much. Nicole said “they” will now vote her out if she is sitting on the block next to James. Corey asked who they are. He mentioned that he would have a vote anyway. Nicole asked Corey who he wants to see go home this week. Corey said he doesn’t care. James joined them. Corey told James that Nicole has a thing for Victor and therefore she wants Paul to go. Nicole said she does not have a thing for Victor. Nicole asked James who he thinks the bigger threat is and who he thinks they can beat in the HoH competition. James believes that they will be able to beat Paul. James said Victor is almost guaranteed to win next week, while he figured that they can handle Paul. Corey said it’s up to James and Nicole since they are the voters. Nicole asked who they should be most scared of if it is a days competition. Corey said Victor. Nicole mentioned that Victor is the obvious bigger threat, but she wanted to at least consider the alternative for a couple of minutes. Corey explained that Victor does well under pressure. On top of that, Corey said Victor has been evicted twice and he would want him to leave out of principle. Corey thought that they would end up kicking themselves if they lost to Victor after he has been evicted twice already. Nicole said Paul is the smarter of the two. She said that he studies. Corey said Victor studies a lot more. Nicole told Corey that she is on board with getting Victor out and she will do whatever he wants to do. James said they should not give Victor any more chances to slip by. Nicole said Victor will get to the Final 2 if he survives this week. However, she said she does not want to sit next to Paul at the end. Nicole’s reasoning is that Paul can talk and he is very intelligent. James and Corey agreed that Paul would have a lot of jury votes. Nicole said Paul needs to be the next to go. Downstairs, Paul asked Victor what he thinks is going to happen. Victor said the nominations will stay the same and he will go home. Victor told Paul that they would be stupid not to vote him out at this point.

10:00-11:00 PM: Paul told Nicole that the only thing he would ask is that they drop them a hint and let them know which one of them is going, unless it’s a strategic move to mess them up by not telling them. Nicole said it’s not. Nicole hinted that Victor is the target. Paul said Victor is already thinking that and he said they would be stupid to keep him. Nicole let Paul know that they are thinking the same thing right now. Nicole told Corey that Paul is smart enough to want to sit next to James at the end. As for Victor, she thought he would want to take her to the end. Corey said Nicole can keep Victor if she wants. Nicole said she wont because it is not smart, but she expects Paul to take James. Nicole pointed out that even in the worst case scenario with Paul winning HoH, she or Corey just have to win the veto and then they are both safe. Corey said he doesn’t care who wins HoH but he would prefer to be sitting in the Final 3 with James over Paul. Nicole worried about Paul being a good talker and being able to convince James that the two of them will take each other over him. Corey said James knows it would be dumb to take Paul to the end when Paul would win. Nicole thinks it would be smart for Paul to take James, because the jury doesn’t like James, he has no wins and he is not good at talking.

12:00-1:00 AM: Paul told Victor he feels like going out fourth is lame. Victor asked if fifth isn’t. Paul said at least you get a day or two in jury. Victor told Paul that he is pretty positive he is leaving. Victor said the roundtable is cool. He mentioned that Natalie may have went to jury and talked James up, but they can then question what James has actually done. Paul said James literally did nothing, winning just one HoH that was thrown to him. Victor said he wants to see what happens with Corey and Nicole after the show. Paul asked who cares. Victor wondered if Corey would hate Nicole and not talk to her at all. He wanted to find out if the seclusion all season was for nothing. Victor said everyone else hates those two. Paul said they could be portrayed super well, considering they technically haven’t done anything. Victor brought up how they may have backstabbed them and not win anyway, then nobody will want to hang out with them after the show. Victor said there will be a reality check at the wrap party. Up in the HoH room, Corey asked Nicole how badly they want to go Final 3 with James. Nicole asked why. Corey proposed the idea of making a deal. Corey thought Paul would nominate him next to James. Nicole told Corey he is nuts, since Paul would know she would keep Corey. Nicole said she is not throwing anything from here on out. Corey thinks Paul would want to take Nicole to Final 2, so he would not risk losing her. Nicole said Paul would make James break them up if he wins HoH. Nicole thinks James would vote her out over Corey. Corey mentioned that Paul might want James out. Nicole disagreed, saying Paul’s ideal Final 3 is with her and James. Corey said he is trying to think of a way to have all of their bases covered. Nicole said there is no way and she is not making a deal or throwing anything. Corey wanted to find a way to ensure that they have a vote next week. Nicole said the only way that they wont have one is if James and Paul each win a competition, then they will have to suck it up cause one of them is going home. Nicole said she feels good enough with where she is at. Corey thought it felt too good to be true. Nicole told Corey not to make a deal with Paul over James, because she would prefer to have to compete against James in a mental competition. Nicole told Corey they need to make Paul think James would have both of their votes. She explained that Derrick made sure the person he was sitting next to at the end would have no votes.

3:00-4:00 AM: In the bedroom, Paul told James and Victor he is curious who will win in the Final 2. Paul mentioned that people do not like Nicole. James said Paulie likes her. Paul and Victor agreed that the girls in jury don’t. Paul said Nicole even brought it up herself. Paul thought people may associate Corey with Nicole, though Corey hasn’t really done anything bad. As for James, Paul said people will correlate James with Natalie. Paul thinks Paulie will definitely not vote for James. He wasn’t sure about Bridgette either. James said Bridgette, Natalie and Michelle may be tight in the jury house and Natalie could try to rally people for him. James said Victor would be a sure winner. Victor said that’s why everybody wants him gone and nobody wants to take him to the end. Paul said he think Corey would win over Nicole in the Final 2. James agreed. Paul pointed out that Corey has started to win competitions and it is his first time playing the game. Victor said you could argue that Nicole strategized more than Corey. Paul said that’s interesting and he hadn’t thought of it. Paul thought Corey could argue it’s his first time playing, while James said Corey could say he knew he had to link up with someone who knew the game in order to get far. Victor said whichever one of them is still there needs to team up with James in order to split up Corey and Nicole, then everyone’s odds are better. Victor explained that when you are there with a pair, one half of the pair can lose every competition and still get to the end. He added that they need to split Corey and Nicole up in order to give everyone a 33% chance. Paul said it makes sense. James agreed, asking why you would want to fight against two people instead of one. Paul said he thinks James will get to the Final 3 no matter what unless he or Victor wins HoH and then James doesn’t win the veto. Victor agreed.
