Big Brother 18 Day 39 - Michelle wins the Power of Veto

July 23, 2016

9:00-10:00 AM: While the others were asleep, Frank spoke to Paulie about today’s veto competition. He said that he is going to pick Paulie if he gets the chance. Paulie said that it is a must win because he doesn’t trust where the votes would fall or that people would be flippable. Paulie said he isn’t sure that they could get the person they want on the block, referring to Da’Vonne. Frank said he will pick Paulie and he will tell Bridgette to pick Michelle since they can beat Michelle. Paulie told Frank that he will try to get people to vote Bridgette out if she and Frank remain nominated. Frank asked how Paulie feels about getting Paul’s vote if they try to change the target. Paulie said it would have to be either Da’Vonne or Victor on the block to have a shot at that. Frank expects that people will follow through with evicting Da’Vonne if they are able to get her on the block. Frank told Paulie that it may be best for him not to win the veto if he has a chance to throw it to him. Frank suggested that Paulie would only put a bigger target on his back by winning. Paulie said he was on board with getting picked to be a person that Frank can beat. Frank brought up that Corey said he thinks Bridgette would go if nominations remain the same. Paulie told him that they would be campaigning for that. He let Frank know that Michelle has already said that she would vote Bridgette out. Frank asked who is voting him out then. Paulie listed of Da’Vonne, Natalie and Zakiyah as a few of the votes against Frank. Frank asked if they have a better shot at flipping the vote if he comes down as opposed to Bridgette. Paulie said yeah but explained that it may not matter either way because it will be tough to save them both this week.

11:00-12:00 PM: Bridgette, Frank and Natalie spoke in the bathroom. Frank asked Natalie whether or not she would use the PoV. Natalie said she would use it on Bridgette. Frank said he didn’t expect her to use it on him. Frank told Bridgette that he will be the one to go if the nominations stay the same. He said Bridgette has a better shot at fading into the background on her own than he does if she is the one to go. Frank told Natalie that she will have to help Bridgette however she can if he is the one to go, because she will be on her own. Natalie told Frank not to worry. Natalie told Bridgette that she can make it very far in the game because she can win competitions. Bridgette mentioned that she cannot win everything. Natalie pointed out that people are cool with Victor now even though they didn’t want him around, so Bridgette can turn things around too. Frank said people still want Victor out but they want he or Bridgette out first and therefore they are acting cool with him. Natalie told Bridgette that she will take her off the block 100% if she wins the veto, though she admitted that she is not the strongest competitor. Frank said he had went to bed last night thinking that the best chance to keep them both safe this week would be if Bridgette were to come off the block. Natalie agreed. However, Frank told the girls that he spoke to Paulie this morning and apparently that is not the case. Frank told Bridgette not to try to let him win or to use veto on him. Bridgette and James later spoke in the safari room. James said he feels really horrible about putting Bridgette on the block. He said it wasn’t fair to her because he had promised that he wouldn’t put her up. James explained that a lot of people wanted Bridgette and Frank on the block. James said he would like to work with Frank but it is difficult to because everyone has something bad to say about him. James told Bridgette that the house likely wants Frank to go. He said it would be good for her in a sense that it would take most of the heat off of her. James apologized for nominating Bridgette and let her know that he would like to have her stay in the game.

2:00-3:00 PM: Players were picked for the veto competition. James, Bridgette, Frank, Da’Vonne, Michelle and Nicole will be competing. In the safari room, James said he wants to take the money if he gets the chance to during the veto competition. Nicole said she will be going for the veto for sure. James said the worst case scenario is that Frank or Bridgette win the veto. James asked if they should draw straws for the replacement nominee. He said he doesn’t want to have to make the decision. Paul said he is cool with that. He told James that whoever remains on the block will be the one to go anyway. James said he prefers not to nominate someone who has already been on the block. He told Corey, Nicole and Paul that he was thinking about nominating someone like Michelle. Later, Nicole headed up to the HoH room to talk to James. She asked if he is wanting to put her up as the replacement nominee. James said no. He told Nicole that he will probably nominate Paul. Nicole said she will not be going for a prize. She said that she will do her best in hope of keeping the nominations the same. James said as long as everyone is happy, he is cool with it. Nicole told James that she is very thankful for what he did, so she will fight for the veto.

3:00-4:00 PM: In the bedroom, Frank told Bridgette that he is kind of glad that Paulie is not playing. He said he feels like he can trust Paulie but he would rather not. Frank told Bridgette that he will probably nominate Da’Vonne and James if Bridgette leaves this week. Bridgette said she was thinking of doing the same thing. Frank told Bridgette that he wouldn’t go after James if he were to do something like nominate Da’Vonne this week. Bridgette said she thinks people hate her as much as they hate Frank. Frank agreed. He didn’t understand why people don’t like Bridgette. As for himself, Frank said he can kind of understand why people don’t like him. He said part of it is Da’Vonne, part of it is intimidation and part of it is just the way he is. Bridgette said James told him that everyone in the house except for Natalie was telling him to nominate the two of them. Frank worried that the guys would vote Bridgette out if he wins the veto, just so that he would have to work more closely with them. If they are able to get through this week together, Bridgette said she is thinking nominating Da’Vonne next to either Michelle or Zakiyah.

4:00-5:00 PM: Frank and Nicole spoke in the storage room. Nicole asked Frank what his end game is this week. Frank said Nicole knows what he wants. Frank let Nicole know that he thinks it is possible to get James to put Da’Vonne up. Frank mentioned that it would work out best for the two of them to have Da’Vonne go. Nicole brought up that Frank threw her under the bus as hard as he could and then backed it up and ran her over. Frank told Nicole that she did it to him two weeks in a row when she didn’t vote out Tiffany and then she wouldn’t have his back to vote Da’Vonne out. Frank said he had to do whatever he could to get Da’Vonne to drop out of the HoH competition. Nicole asked if Frank would have put her up. Frank said Bridgette would have been HoH but it would have been Da’Vonne going on the block. Frank asked Nicole to trust that he wants to work with her and Corey. Nicole said she trusts that. Frank pointed out that if Bridgette goes this week, he will have no choice but to work with the boys who will then go after the girls. Frank told Nicole that he will nominate Da’Vonne and James if Bridgette leaves and he wins HoH next week. Frank said he wouldn’t want James to go home in that scenario. Frank told Nicole that he doesn’t want her to beat him in the veto competition. He explained that he would rather take himself down since he doesn’t want Nicole to get a target on her back by using the veto on him. Nicole asked if Frank would still work with her if Bridgette were to leave this week. Frank said yes. He pointed out that he would have no choice.

10:00-11:00 PM: Feeds returned following the veto competition. Michelle won the Power of Veto. Da’Vonne, Michelle, Nicole and Zakiyah headed to the storage room to dance and celebrate the win. Michelle talked about how she will not be using the Power of Veto on either of the “idiots”. Frank pointed out that he left because of OTEV last time and he is likely leaving because of OTEV again this time.

11:00-12:00 AM: Bridgette told Frank she really enjoys hanging out with him. Frank said they have a few more days until she is by herself. Frank said the one memento he wants from the season is a friendship with Bridgette. Frank told Bridgette that he will not campaign against her. He mentioned that he has campaigned the past two weeks and it didn’t work anyway. James joined them. Frank said he assumes he is the target. James said he would have to ask around to be sure. James told Frank that it’s just a game. Frank said he quit his job for the game. He said OTEV just isn’t his veto. Frank told James not to let the others screw Bridgette next week. James said he wouldn’t do that. Bridgette reminded James that he said he wouldn’t put her up either. Frank said everyone picked on the sweet girl all summer and then James nominated her because the mean girls wanted it. Frank told James he could have nominated Victor next to him and let him go home that way. After James left, Bridgette and Frank went over the game plan. Bridgette didn’t think that she could trust Natalie anymore. Frank said he was worried about that. They asked for Big Brother to give them a coup d’etat. Bridgette asked if she can trust Paulie. Frank said he doesn’t think so. Bridgette agreed. Bridgette threw out the idea of nominating James and Paulie next to each other. Frank said he will be nominating Da’Vonne and James if he stays. Bridgette thought that she may have to work with Da’Vonne. Frank worried that Da’Vonne would use her for a week if she wins HoH, then get rid of her. Elsewhere, Michelle told Natalie that she would like to see Bridgette go because she has a better shot at winning competitions than Frank does. However, she said it’s up to James. Michelle had told Nicole that she wants Bridgette to go as well. Nicole was on board with that.

12:00-1:00 AM: Frank asked Nicole if they have a move. Nicole said she doesn’t know. Frank told her to be real with him. Nicole said she is trying to think. Frank said he thinks that the move is to have Nicole approach James with her in order to point out that Da’Vonne is not good for any of their games. He said he doesn’t want Nicole to do it if she doesn’t want to. Nicole said she thinks that she will do it but she wants to think it over tonight. Frank told Bridgette that the girls probably want him out and the guys want her out. Frank thinks that Da’Vonne, Natalie and Zakiyah will vote him out. Bridgette thought that Corey, Michelle, Paul and Paulie would want her out. Up in the HoH room, Da’Vonne told James to be mindful of the people that are including him in their plans now that he is the HoH. She said that she will not sit back and watch someone use him because he won HoH. Da’Vonne then brought up that the couples give off the impression that they are in love. She told James that she would rather come in third to James and Natalie than come in fifth to the two couples. She let James know that she would be fine with James taking Natalie to the end at that point if he so chooses. Da’Vonne mentioned that James is likely going to get a Pandora’s Box this week because there has been a lot of drilling going on in the room connected to the HoH room.

1:00-2:00 AM: Natalie asked James who he thinks is going home this week. James said Frank. Natalie let James know that Michelle wants Bridgette out. James said Michelle may tell people that she wants them to vote Bridgette out since she has the veto. Natalie warned James that Michelle plans to talk to him about the vote. James said it’s not up to him anymore and that his job is done. James thinks that Bridgette and Victor will be targeted next, followed by Da’Vonne and Michelle after that. Natalie asked what Frank said about Nicole. James said Frank told him that Nicole is flip floppy and he doesn’t know if he can trust her. Natalie said Nicole is sneaky and is playing all sides. Downstairs in the bedroom, Paulie told Corey and Nicole that either Bridgette of Frank has to go this week. Nicole agreed. They then discussed Zakiyah’s behaviour. Paulie said Zakiyah tries to force him to kiss her or make a move. He said she then gets mad when he doesn’t do it. Nicole said Zakiyah should not be getting mad at Paulie for a lot of things that she is. Paulie thinks that Zakiyah has been acting different of late because she doesn’t want Da’Vonne to go anymore. Corey said he doesn’t care if she doesn’t want Da’Vonne to go. Paulie said he will nominate Zakiyah next to Da’Vonne if she still doesn’t want Da’Vonne to go. Paulie brought up that Da’Vonne has said multiple times that she is after the couples but Zakiyah is making it sound like she isn’t after them. Nicole and Paulie both agreed that they would like to see Da’Vonne go next week.

2:00-3:00 AM: Michelle told Corey, Nicole, Paulie and Zakiyah that she wants Bridgette to go. She mentioned that Bridgette is stronger in competitions and that she would rather hang out with Frank in jury. No one replied to her comments. Victor stopped by to let those five and Da’Vonne know that Frank’s plan is to get Michelle to use the veto so that they can backdoor Da’Vonne. Da’Vonne said she doesn’t understand why Frank wants her out so badly. She said that she could see what Tiffany’s reason was for coming after her but she doesn’t see Frank’s. They discussed that Frank coming after Da’Vonne started around the time of the butt slapping incidents. In the bathroom, Michelle told Paul that she would rather have Bridgette go. Paul said no way. Paul then headed to the bedroom to reiterate to Corey, Nicole, Paulie and Zakiyah that Frank needs to be the one to go.

3:00-4:00 AM: Frank and Michelle spoke in the safari room. Frank asked what he has to do to get Michelle to use the veto. Michelle said throw Bridgette under the bus and tell her all her secrets. Frank said she doesn’t have any secrets. Michelle questioned if Bridgette is related to a past houseguest, dating a past houseguest, or a big superfan. Frank said no. Michelle told Frank she wants Bridgette out more than them. Frank said the others don’t. Frank told Michelle she needs use the veto because Bridgette doesn’t need to go this week. Michelle asked if Frank is kidding her. She said she wants Bridgette gone. Frank said fans love to see the house flip. Michelle brought up that Frank is in multiple alliance that she is not a part of. She mentioned Frank, Da’Vonne and Zakiyah as one. Frank said he hates Zakiyah’s guts. Frank told Michelle that the only Final 2 deal he has made is with Nicole. Michelle asked who Bridgette is going to go after. Frank said Da’Vonne and Zakiyah would be on the block. Michelle told Frank he has her vote but he is going to have to campaign against Bridgette. Frank said he wont do it. He pushed for the veto to be used so that Da’Vonne could be backdoored. Michelle insisted that Bridgette has to go. Frank told her she is being immature and she will leave around 8th or 9th place if she works with the other side of the house. Frank suggested a threesome with Bridgette or a foursome with Paulie included if both he and Bridgette were to stick around past this week.

4:00-5:00 AM: Da’Vonne and James spoke in the storage room while Frank continued to campaign to Michelle. James observed the talks going on between Michelle and Frank and Bridgette and Paulie. He said he thinks Paulie is feeling bad for Bridgette. Da’Vonne said he is feeling bad for Frank. Da’Vonne said she is stick to her guns, as is Paul and Zakiyah. James said he will tell Paulie that he is going on the block if they pull someone down, since he respected Paulie’s HoH but Paulie isn’t respecting his. James questioned why people would change their minds when they put these two up for a reason. James suggested that one of the girls pull Michelle out of the room with Frank because she is an emotional player and Frank will be able to sell her on things the longer he talks to her. Da’Vonne said he has two days to talk to her. James figured that he would use every hour of it. James planned to tell Corey, Nicole and Michelle that he wont be nominating the person he wants them to if the veto is used. Paul joined them and asked if they can break up the talk between Frank and Michelle. Da’Vonne said that’s what they were just talking about. James said they have to send Frank’s ass home. Paul agreed. James said Paulie is feeling bad. Paul said he isn’t but he thinks Bridgette is the bigger threat than Frank. A short while later, Paul decided that he wants to call Frank out because he has had it. Nicole said if he is going home then you can call him out all you want. Nicole and Paulie said Frank is going home 100%. Paulie suggested that Paul wait until they talk to Michelle but said he will support Paul either way. Paul said he wants the pleasure of calling Frank out. Corey said Frank is telling Michelle that she is going to be viewed as a mean girl and bully based on how she acts towards Bridgette. Nicole came by and said Michelle has not been manipulated and they are okay. Paul said he is going to call Frank out anyway. Michelle said she is not going to use the veto since she doesn’t need nine people mad at her. Paul headed to the kitchen anyway and asked Frank what the end game is if the veto is used on him. Frank said it’s his strategy and it is not him. Frank questioned why it matters to Paul. He suggested that it could be him going on the block since he has already been on the block twice because of Frank. Paul pointed out that plans are made and then things are changed. Frank said he is on the blocked and asked if Paul wants him to lay over and die. Paul said no but told Frank he knows he says things about him. Frank assured Paul that he doesn’t want him out. Frank said he doesn’t understand why Paul is coming at him when he is on the block and cannot nominate anyone. Paul said he can only assume that Frank is trying to get him on the block. He told Frank not to tell him he shouldn’t be concerned. Frank said he wasn’t using Paul’s name.

5:00-6:00 AM: Frank and Paul decided to go talk one on one instead of in front of the whole house. Frank said he wants Da’Vonne to go on the block. They discussed what happened during the HoH competition. Frank said he told Da’Vonne that someone said she wants him out even before Victor. Da’Vonne then swore she would drop out of the competition if Frank would tell her who said that. Frank then said it was Nicole. Frank explained his thought process was that Da’Vonne would then drop and Bridgette would win HoH and take Da’Vonne out. Frank explained what happened between he and Da’Vonne with regards to Da’Vonne pitting he and Tiffany against each other. He said that’s why he wants Da’Vonne out. As for throwing the names of Corey and Paulie out there, Frank said he was working with the vets at one point and therefore he had to go along with it and tell the vets that he was on board with targeting them when their names were brought up. Paul wasn’t sure about that. Frank said he doesn’t care because he is probably going home this week anyway, so Paul can watch it when he goes home. Frank said he is trying to save Bridgette and himself because she has been loyal to him the whole time. Frank mentioned that he would rather Bridgette stay over him since he is that loyal. Paul again brought up that Frank nominated him in week one. Frank explained that the only reason he was on the block was because they did not want him using the veto on Jozea. He said that’s why he told Paul to use the veto on himself. Frank said he played a loyal game his season but now Da’Vonne is going around and saying things about him that are untrue. After some more back and forth, Frank and Paul hugged it out. After Frank left, Paulie told Paul and Victor that he could never take a shot at Zakiyah personally but Bridgette could go after Da’Vonne and Zakiyah for them. He said Bridgette would never come after them. Paul said Bridgette is the seed of Chucky and she will come back with a vengeance. Paulie thought that she would still go after the girls ahead of them. Paul headed up to the HoH room. He told James that Frank said James would probably throw him on the block if the veto is used. Paul told Da’Vonne that Frank’s plan is to get Da’Vonne on the block and send her home. Paul said Frank will blow up the house if they let him stick around past this week. James said Frank will probably stop doing what he is doing if everyone tells him that he is going home. Paul didn’t want to tell Frank that because Michelle was getting upset. Da’Vonne said it will be a wrap after Monday. Da’Vonne brought up that she has bit her tongue for a long time but that will change after the veto ceremony on Monday when nominations are left the same. James told Da’Vonne that he will not be nominating her even if Michelle does use the veto. He said the same thing to Victor.

6:00-7:00 AM: Da’Vonne told Michelle that to this day she still doesn’t understand why Frank decided to blow up the Eight Pack. Michelle said Frank blames it on Da’Vonne due to the Tiffany drama. Michelle pointed out that Frank was the one making deals with Bridgette and trying to get in with the Powerpuff Girls. They discussed that Frank said Nicole made a Final 2 deal with him in the first week. Michelle said Nicole was good at hiding it. Da’Vonne brought up that she didn’t talk to James and Michelle until later on in the game. Michelle said she didn’t know that it was a Final 3. She asked if James knows. Da’Vonne said she thought that’s what their triangle was and what they were planning to do. Da’Vonne said maybe they have just got each other’s backs and it is not a Final 3. Michelle said she is good with whatever. Michelle let Da’Vonne know that Frank said he wants Zakiyah out. Da’Vonne couldn’t believe that. She said Zakiyah was Frank’s pride and joy. Michelle said Frank claimed he can’t stand when Bridgette walks in a room and Zakiyah looks like she smelled crap. Da’Vonne said that’s true and Zakiyah cannot stand Bridgette. Michelle said Frank told her that he doesn’t want Michelle to save him, have Bridgette go home and then the two of them are on the block together next week. Michelle said it’s true that that would happen. Da’Vonne said she doesn’t think that people would put her up. Michelle figured that they would if she were to use the veto. Michelle let Da’Vonne know that Frank said Da’Vonne and Zakiyah are the mean girls. Michelle said she is probably worse than them. Da’Vonne thought that Frank has been bringing up mean girl and bullying crap because he knows that he has a bad reputation due to calling her a slut and slapping her on the butt. She figured that he now wants to ruin somebody else’s reputation.
