BB17 Day 74

August 30, 2015

11:00-12:00 PM: Steve told John that he thinks that they are in a good spot for this week. Steve said that he mentioned that John would be okay with voting Meg out if a pawn is nominated. John said that he has a really good idea. He said that Meg goes this week and then preferably he will win HoH. John said that they can take Liz out. After that, John suggested that Steve get close to Julia, Vanessa get close to Austin and he get close to James. John felt that their alliance has the ability to split off, while Austin and the twins do not. Steve said that that’s an interesting idea, though he does not know how it will go if they have just nominated those people. Steve told John not to propose any big move to Vanessa until after the veto ceremony. He said that right now all that Vanessa wants is for Meg to go. John said that he will 100% vote Meg out. Austin then spoke to Steve and asked if John is good with them. Austin felt that that was the last loose end. Steve said that he is still trying to repair things with John, after they campaigned against each other last week. They both agreed that John will hopefully not hate them. Austin mentioned that it was huge that the twins agreed to have Julia go up as the pawn, since he was not expecting that. Steve thought so too and said that he would keep reassuring them that Julia is safe with him. Austin was concerned that James would try to tell Steve that he and the twins are not trustworthy. Steve said that they can say whatever they want and it will not matter. He told Austin that it would make no sense to evict Julia and get a bunch of people mad at him. Austin agreed.

12:00-1:00 PM: John and Vanessa chatted in the backyard. John asked if he should come up and talk some game later. Vanessa said yeah. John mentioned that he is throwing Steve under the bus to make it seem as though they are not as close as they are. Vanessa said that it’s working and that James mentioned that he did that. Vanessa told John to throw her under the bus to whomever as well. John let Vanessa know that whatever she is saying to Steve is working, since Steve believes that they are more upset with each other than they really are. Vanessa let John know that he is going to be good this week. She said that Julia volunteered to be the pawn. John said that he would vote Meg out. Vanessa pointed out that it will work out really well, since Austin and the twins realized that James would be upset with them if they voted Meg out over John, so now they are on board with Julia going up. Vanessa said that it would have been really tough to get rid of Meg if they let her slide by this week. John said that Julia is the only person that could go up next to her and be safe. Vanessa also let John know that Austin is realizing that he cannot protect three people in the game and he is willing to make some deals for himself. Vanessa said that Austin wants to make a deal with John that he will not nominate him next week. John said that he likes that deal and will have a talk with Austin. Vanessa said that Austin went over the scenarios for if he won HoH and he would keep his deal with John.

1:00-2:00 PM: James told Meg that Vanessa would have to nominate Julia to ensure that Meg leaves. Meg said that she wants to let Vanessa know that sending her out would get more blood on her hands than sending John out would, since everyone would be okay with John leaving. James agreed. James got Meg caught up on his talk with Vanessa last night. He said that she kept saying how much she had wanted to work with him but they were always on opposite sides. Meg expects that Vanessa wants her out this week. James thought that John would vote against Julia. Meg said that Steve will not. James figured that Steve would run upstairs and tell them that they are trying to flip the vote. Elsewhere, Vanessa spoke to Julia about being the pawn. She said that she would never risk Julia if there was even a 1% chance that she would leave. Julia said that she was a little upset at first but she talked to Steve and he said that he would never vote her out. Vanessa said that she is so sure that Julia would stay that she would give her $10,000 if she leaves. Vanessa explained that Austin and the twins would be put in a bad spot if they had to vote Meg out over John, cause James would be mad at them. She said that John has given his word that he will keep Julia, so it will be a 4-1 vote. Vanessa said that they will let John and Steve know that they will lose four jury votes if they evict Julia. Liz said that she was thinking that John needs to go but now she is 100% on board with evicting Meg. Julia said that James will need to go before John next week. Liz said that she is right. Vanessa was called to the diary room. She came back and told the twins that she is not allowed to offer money, though she wasn’t serious about the $10,000 and was just explaining that Julia is safe. Outside, Austin and John quickly chatted and said that they are good with each other for next week. Austin explained that he has to look out for himself in this game.

2:00-3:00 PM: Steve headed upstairs, where Vanessa was speaking to the twins. Julia asked if Steve promises that he will vote for her. Steve said yes and then said that he promises that he will vote her out. Julia said that it is too soon for jokes like that. Steve assured Julia that she has nothing to worry about. Afterwards, Vanessa told Steve that he had better go hang out with Julia and make her feel good about his vote. Steve headed downstairs and talked to Liz. He asked if he should hear James and Meg out if they talk to him about his vote, or if he should outright say that it is not happening. Liz said to hear them out. Steve promised Liz that he will be voting to evict Meg. Meg walked in on the conversation. She then went to James and told him that she isn’t sure what is going on, since Liz and Steve are talking in the storage room. She said that they did not stop talking when she walked in, which is good. James said that maybe they are trying to get Steve on board with keeping her, since Austin and the twins do not want James to be mad at them.

Meg spoke to Vanessa to find out what she is thinking. Vanessa said that she made these nominations because she wanted to break up a strong duo, so she is not sure that doing that is not still the right move to make. Vanessa pointed out that she would be dumb to target John if he is not targeting her, which she does not believe that he is. Meg said that she would be open minded to talk to Vanessa if she wins HoH. Meg then said that John is on his own and will be doing whatever he wants. Vanessa said that John will do what is best for him to win the game, and she does not think that targeting her would be his best move. As for Meg, Vanessa thought that it would be in her best interest to target her, because it could be done while getting very little blood on her hands. Meg said that she would need to do something drastic if she wins HoH, if she wants any chance to win the game. Meg reiterated that she is open to working with anyone at this point. Vanessa said that she made a very good argument that she would need to do something big to win the game. They continued to chat and clear the air on some things, including why Vanessa has felt the need to play the game so hard. She explained that James had hurt her feelings last night by criticizing her game, when she has no choice but to fight hard since she is on her own.

4:00-5:00 PM: Meg told James that Vanessa wants to split the two of them up and that is her reasoning for wanting to target her. James said that Vanessa should have admitted that she messed up and asked to make a deal with them in which she would take someone else out. James said that everything would have been squashed if so. Meg said that if she leaves this week it is because they had a friendship and Vanessa didn’t. They figured that Austin and the twins would be fighting to get Meg to stay, since they do not want Julia to be nominated next to her. James said that it is best for Austin’s game to keep Meg, since John would be nominating Austin. James also said that he will nominate Austin if Meg goes but not if she stays. James told Meg that he will do the opposite of whatever Vanessa tells him to do. He said that he will nominate Austin and Vanessa together if Vanessa tells him not to. Meg said that he would have to make those nominations. James said that Liz would go up if Austin wins the veto. James figured that the only way for him to stay in the game would be to win one of the next two HoHs and then to win a bunch of veto competitions.

6:00-7:00 PM: Meg told James that if she watches the show and he ends up taking Vanessa far, she is going to come and get him. James said that Vanessa will be gone next. Meg said that she doesn’t necessarily have to go but she has to be scared. James said that he would probably nominate her with Liz, using Austin as the replacement nominee. Meg asked who James would like to see win the game. James said Johnny Mac, because he is the most deserving and has dealt with a lot of adversity. James said that Austin also played a good game. Meg agreed and said that she would like to see Austin and James in the Final 2 together. Meg told James that he would win over Austin. James said that he wants to win the game so bad, so that he could take care of his little girl. James told Meg that he wishes that there was some way that he could keep her. He said that he always tried to keep her safe for as long as he could.

7:00-8:00 PM: Meg told James that she expects that she will be the one going home. Meg said that Julia will likely be going on the block to ensure that. James agreed. Up in the HoH room, Austin told Vanessa that he spoke to John and all that he wanted to hear was that he is not a Clay that will not think for himself. Vanessa said that John was so happy when she talked to him about that. Austin felt that he was now better with John and may not even need to win HoH. Vanessa said that as long as James is out of the competition, Austin will not have to win. Vanessa said that John is being straight with Austin. As for this week, Vanessa said that based on the way that Meg is acting, she seems to think that she is staying and does not see it coming at all. Austin and Vanessa wondered if it would benefit them to have Austin tell James and Meg that Vanessa is considering nominating him, Liz or Julia as a pawn. Vanessa said that Austin will have to decide what he says based on how close he feels to James.

8:00-9:00 PM: Steve reassured Vanessa that he will vote Meg out over Julia. Vanessa said that she genuinely believes that John is open to working with her. Steve agreed. Steve wondered who would nominate them this week. Vanessa said that James is the only one. Vanessa expects that John would nominate James and a twin or possibly even take a shot directly at Austin and the twins, though she figured that that would be getting more blood on his hands. Vanessa asked if it is best to break Austin and the twins up or to take out John. Steve said that it’s a good question but he did not give her any further thoughts on the matter. Vanessa said that John, Austin, Liz or Julia winning HoH would be a good scenario for them this week. Down in the have-not room, Austin told James and Meg that Vanessa said that she has to ensure that one of them leaves. He said that Vanessa is considering keeping John and Steve off of the block in order to make it happen. Austin let James know that he does not want this to damage their relationship, since it is not what he wanted to have happen this week. He added that he will not being doing Vanessa’s dirty work and nominating James if he wins HoH. James said that he is not after Austin either. Austin said that he offered Vanessa the world when she was about to backdoor him. They discussed that Meg could offer to throw HoH and to go up as a pawn for James. After Austin left, James told Meg that they can tell Vanessa what she wants to hear and say that they will both throw HoH, even though they will not. Austin reported back to Vanessa. He said that James and Meg are likely going to offer to throw HoH. He said that he let them know that Vanessa is considering nominating himself or a twin to send Meg out, though he doesn’t know for sure.

10:00-11:00 PM: Meg told James her plan for her talk with Vanessa. Meg said that she will tell Vanessa that she will take her place on the block if James wins HoH. Meg explained to James that she does not want to go out during Vanessa’s HoH and would rather have him take her out, cause at least she had a part in it. Meg said that next week you only need two votes to force a tiebreaker, so she will promise Vanessa her vote if she goes up and will also say that she has sway with James. Meg mentioned that offering to throw HoH may not mean much, since she doesn’t win anyway. She said that an alternate offer could be to let Vanessa choose her nominations if she does win HoH. Meg again said that she will take Vanessa’s place on the block if James wins. She said that she is not even kidding and she would actually do it. James thought that Vanessa would want him to say that he would throw HoH as well. Meg did not want him to risk his own game. James said that he could always go back on the deal and say that it is no longer valid due to a breach of trust, which is what Vanessa said to him when he mentioned that she had made him a deal not to nominate him and a person of his choosing. Meg felt that she would still have a shot to stay even if Julia went up next to her. She said that she would sell her soul to John and Steve.

12:00-1:00 AM: Liz and Vanessa discussed that James and Meg are likely going to come upstairs and make a final pitch. Vanessa said that there is no reason for her to go back on her plan and decide to leave both James and Meg in the game together, just because James and Meg promise something. Vanessa said that she will hear them out if they come talk, though she is over talking in circles about it. Liz said that she does not believe that James and Meg will actually throw HoH. She said that they will try their hardest and then say they threw it if they don’t end up winning. Liz hoped that they would throw John under the bus so that they would have information on him. Vanessa said that they already tried but they do not have anything on him. Liz was also concerned about Steve hearing James and Meg out, because she was worried about what they would say.

1:00-2:00 AM: Meg went to the HoH room to speak to Vanessa. She said that she senses that Vanessa wants her to go and that her back is against the wall. Meg made her offer. She said that she would throw HoH, though she doesn’t really think that she would win anyway. Meg also promised to give Vanessa her vote if she ends up on the block. She said that she may be able to sway James a bit too. Finally, Meg said that if James wins HoH, he has agreed to nominate Meg in Vanessa’s place. She also said that Vanessa will not be the replacement nominee either. Meg said that she would be open minded to working with Vanessa if she does this, since Vanessa would be saving her. Vanessa said that an issue is that she has deals that she needs to keep and that she has fewer options than it may seem. Vanessa asked if Meg would vote to keep her even if James nominated her. Meg said yes but clarified that James would not do that, since she will be going after James if so. Vanessa said that she is definitely going to think about it. She said that Meg is making her question her decision and she has no idea which way she will go with it. Vanessa asked if John is the one that Meg wants on the block. Meg said that she would only say that because she knows that the votes would be there to get John out. Vanessa said that she will consider it. She asked Meg to send James up to talk to her in the morning.

2:00-3:00 AM: Meg headed downstairs and spoke to James. She told him that she just blew Vanessa’s mind with the offer that she made. Meg said that the only thing that is worry Vanessa is that she does not know if she can trust that James will stick to the deal and nominate Meg in her place. Meg told James to go talk to Vanessa in the morning. Meg said that Vanessa would be safe for one week and then she will go out in the double eviction, so it’s not that big of a deal. James was glad that it may work but he said that he is concerned that Vanessa will make him do something crazy like promise on his daughter. Meg pointed out that the good thing is that he would be telling the truth, since he would have to nominate her instead of Vanessa. James and Meg figured that Vanessa wants someone to take Austin and the twins out for her, though she does not want to say it. They also agreed that Steve and Vanessa probably have a Final 2 deal. Meg thought that Vanessa would go back on it at Final 3 and take someone like Julia instead. James said that he would likely target Steve next if he won, nominating him next to Meg.
