BB17 Day 64 - Becky is evicted; Austin wins HoH

August 20, 2015

9:00-10:00 AM: Becky told Austin, Julia and Liz that she would love to stay in the game. She said that she is after Vanessa and Vanessa is after her. If she leaves, Becky said that you will not know who Vanessa will go after. Becky pointed out that she has not done a very good job getting herself off of the block, in contrast to John. Becky said that she is not as well rounded. Becky asked if they know what they are going to do. Liz told her that it’s comforting to hear what she just said. Becky went on to say that she would talk through the options with them if she won HoH, discussing how best to go after Vanessa. Julia asked which votes she has. Becky said that she is counting on the three of them. Austin said that it will be a house thing and that they will not go against James and Meg. Austin told Becky that John has not campaigned against Becky at all but he has campaigned for himself a little bit, making the case that he does not have a group moving forward. Becky said that her two people from week one were Jackie and John, so neither of them will be there if she stays. Becky told them that she is only the third wheel with James and Meg. Austin let Becky know that they will talk things over with James and Meg again. Becky asked that they let her know if she is leaving before 5:00, cause she has an eviction dress that she wants to wear if she is leaving.

Liz let James and Meg know that Becky just talked to them. Liz told them that they need to talk to them. Meg said that they fell asleep last night and did not get the chance to go up to the HoH room. Austin came by. Meg told him that they will talk after the HoH lockdown. Austin let James and Meg know that Vanessa is going to throw HoH now that she thinks that she has everyone on board with her. Austin said that Vanessa had them bring in John last night to guarantee her that she would not be nominated or backdoored, but he told John afterwards that he can do whatever he wants. Austin said that John told him that he was just saying yes and wouldn’t go along with the plan to keep Vanessa safe anyway. James spoke to Meg alone and told her that they are set. Meg said that they will probably be on the block. She figured that John would nominate them both. James agreed but said that he does not want that to happen and he will be trying to win. Meg said that she will be as well. James pointed out that people that sit on the block go home, even when they are told that they are just pawns. James was concerned that Vanessa could easily flip the votes and have him sent home if he remained nominated on eviction night. James wondered why Becky had not talked to them yet. Meg said that Becky talked to her for a bit but likely thinks that their votes are secure due to their alliance.

1:00-2:00 PM: Liz asked Austin what they are going to tell Becky. Austin said that they need to talk to James and Meg, cause they might think that it is better to keep Becky now. Liz said that they cannot do this to her. She said that Becky already told them that she will be healed in 48 hours. Liz told Austin that John is on their side and it would be so stupid to get him out. Austin said that he will do whatever Liz wants and pointed out that James and Meg do not have the votes anyway. Austin said that they need to be careful with how they approach those two, because they cannot have them upset with them. Austin figured that James would have a high probability of winning HoH tonight. Liz asked Austin what his thoughts are. He said that he is 50/50. Steve came by to talk to Austin and Liz. Austin told him that Becky is saying that she is not with James and Meg anymore and she would be on their side to take out Vanessa. Steve pointed out that John would be too. Austin and Liz agreed and they discussed that they have the votes to keep John. They discussed that they can control the votes and remain safe as long as they get James and Meg to nominate Vanessa.

2:00-3:00 PM: Austin, James and Meg discussed the plan to evict Becky. Austin said that they could tell Becky that she needs to get medical help and they want her to get the help that she needs. Meg pointed out that Becky’s stuff is not even packed yet. Austin said that Becky wanted to know which way they were voting so that she can wear her eviction dress. Austin told James and Meg that Becky was basically throwing them under the bus, saying that she is not really with the two of them even though she was with Jackie. James said she has got to go. Meg said that they should help Becky pack her bags. She is still dealing with her toe injury. James said that they will look bad for voting Becky out when she is injured. Austin said that he could see reasons for keeping Becky but Liz is set on voting her out. James said that he is on board then. Austin mentioned talking to John last night. He said that he believes that they can control him if he wins. He also said that Steve may have been upset if they decided to vote John out. Vanessa told Julia that they have to get the Brass Tacks group together, since James and Meg were questioning if Becky was still leaving. Julia assured Vanessa that the plan is still to evict Becky. She said that she and Austin are voting her out. Vanessa said that she is too. They agreed that they will have Steve’s vote as well.

3:00-4:00 PM: Vanessa told Austin that they need to be on the same page and she needs to know if they are trying to win HoH or not. Austin said that he thinks that it is in their best interest to throw it, though it is risky. Vanessa said that she tends to agree that it’s a risk that they need to take. Austin told her that nobody is in a position to screw them over this week, though next week it is a different story. Austin said that the talk with John last night tied up the last loose end and she feels good about him. Vanessa agreed. Austin said that ideally John or Steve will win. Vanessa said that James or Meg could too. She asked if they have an issue with nominating John. Austin said no and that they are worried about him too. Vanessa said that she thinks that they should throw it then. Vanessa asked if they have told Becky that she is leaving. Austin said that she hasn’t even asked yet. Vanessa suggested that they tell her after the rehearsal, explaining that she doesn’t have the votes and they would not want to blindside her. Vanessa asked Austin if James and Meg think that Austin and the twins would ever go against Vanessa. Austin said no and that’s what they are afraid of.

6:00-7:00 PM: During tonight’s live eviction episode, Becky was evicted by a unanimous vote of 6-0. Julie announced that Shelli, Jackie, Becky and the next evicted houseguest will have a shot to return live during next week’s eviction show. The HoH competition then began. The competition involved a series of six races. One houseguest will be eliminated in each race. Meg was eliminated in the first race.

7:00-8:00 PM: The HoH competition continued, following the conclusion of the live show.

Julia was the second houseguest eliminated from the competition.
Vanessa then had a false start, eliminating her from the competition.
John was last to hit his button, eliminating him from the competition.
Steve was then eliminated from the competition.

Austin defeated James in the final race, making him the new HoH.

8:00-9:00 PM: Austin told Liz that he was so thinking about throwing HoH to James, but he didn’t trust Vanessa to not go upstairs and blow everything up. Liz said that she would have been scared of James making a big move. Austin said that he will tell James and Meg that they have to promise that Jackie will not come after the three of them, then he will keep James and Meg safe. Liz said that she is worried that Steve will think that he is putting up James and Meg. Austin planned to tell Steve that he made a deal with James just before the comp, cause James offered safety to himself and the twins in exchange for Austin keeping James and Meg safe. John spoke to Steve and said that he would take James out if he were Austin. Steve figured that it would be James, Meg or Vanessa. He said that they should be good. Steve asked John how he beat him. John said that he did not run too fast, cause he thought that everyone was going to throw it to him.

Austin let James know that he is going to say that he made a deal with James before the comp, promising safety to James and Meg in exchange for them keeping him and the twins safe. He said that he would use that as his justification for not nominating James and Meg. James told Meg about the plan and said that they will have to do the same for Austin next week when he cannot play HoH. He pointed out that someone will be coming back and they can send that person right back out. Austin told James that it could get real ugly this week. Austin said that next week will be scary, since someone is coming back. He said that he will be counting on James to win endurance. Meg said that she expects it to be a crapshoot. Meg said that it’s a good thing that Becky is going back to Jackie and Shelli, since they can calm her down. Austin said that he thinks that they will be fine if Jackie returns. Austin spoke to Liz again and told her that he will let Steve know that he messed up and agreed to a deal with James before the competition, so he has to nominate John and Steve. Austin figured that Steve would understand that he is a pawn. Austin said that he can mention that a backdoor move is not off of the table.

9:00-10:00 PM: Austin told Liz that this will be a big week. He said that they get to be in power again and are going to make a good show. Austin said that he will get to be Judas, going crazy and nuts. Liz said that it’s a turn on. Julia joined them. Austin said that he wants to tell Steve that Vanessa made them start an alliance with James and Meg, just like the one with John and Steve, so he cannot nominate them. Austin wanted to explain that Vanessa’s goal was to have James and Meg go after John and Steve and vice versa. Austin figured that he could tell Steve that he could not do that to him and had to win HoH. Austin told the twins that he is not nominating James and Meg, so it only leaves John and Steve or John and Vanessa as options.

10:00-11:00 PM: Austin told Liz and Julia that it may not be best for them to target Vanessa this week. Julia said that whoever returns will go after Vanessa. Julia said that leaving nominations the same would be best, since John could then go. Austin said that he would feel bad about doing that to John but he likes James and Meg. Vanessa joined the discussion and told Austin that she has a plan that will guarantee that he does not get any blood on his hands, also ensuring that his target goes. Vanessa suggested leaving John off of the block, making him feel safe and getting him to throw the veto competition. Her original suggestion was to nominate Meg and Steve as pawns. She eventually changed her mind and said that nominating James and Meg would be a foolproof plan, but it would take a lot of trust on James and Meg’s end. Her concern with nominating Steve was that John would not throw the PoV and would try to win it to save him. Austin and Liz told Vanessa that nominating James and Meg would give them reason to nominate them in return. Austin said that John and Steve have to be nominated together. Vanessa said that Austin cannot tell Steve that John is the target, because he will tell John. Vanessa mentioned that Shelli had told her that John and Steve have a Final 2, because Steve told Clay about it. Vanessa mentioned that she would offer to go up as a pawn but she does not trust Steve to save her over John. Austin went to James and Meg, telling them that he feels that there is no sense in leaving John off of the block, seeing as the chances of him playing in the veto competition are high regardless. James asked who Vanessa’s target is this week. Austin said that her target is John but she wants James and Meg on the block. Meg said that Vanessa is nuts. Austin brought up the new information that Vanessa told him, saying that John and Steve have a Final 2. Austin said that John is probably the least likely one to hold a grudge if he returns. Austin said that it will be “sorry Vanessa” if John wins the PoV.

11:00-12:00 AM: Vanessa told Julia that they should be good this week. Julia said obviously. Julia mentioned that she knows that Austin wants John out but she thinks that James is a strong competitor. Julia said that hopefully John or Steve will win HoH and then they can send James out. Vanessa said that it should come down to who Austin would rather compete against in the finals. She felt that James would have a strong chance to win Part 1 of the final HoH competition. Julia said that it bothers her that Austin will likely not take James out this week. She told Vanessa that she is 100% voting James out if he is nominated next to Steve. Vanessa said that they would be stupid not to. Vanessa thought that it may be best to target James or Meg over John, since James and Meg could form a trio with Jackie if she returns. On the other hand, she thought John could be manipulated. Vanessa told Julia that they will win HoH next week and they need to take James out if Austin wont do it this week.

After Austin got his HoH room, he spoke to James and Meg, along with the twins. Austin discussed how convenient it was that Vanessa now had information about John since he is a target. Austin told James and Meg that Vanessa was trying to plant the idea that the two of them cannot be trusted, pointing out that James tried hard to win the final race in the HoH competition. Austin said that it whether or not Vanessa goes on the block will depend on how the veto competition plays out. Austin told James and Meg that he likes them a lot and does not want to nominate them at all. He suggested that the safest nominations would be John and Steve. Austin said that it bothered him that Vanessa couldn’t just be happy for him to win HoH, instead having to run up to him with a plan right away. Meg said that Vanessa has had a hand in pretty much every single eviction up to this point. She told Austin that she does not get why he is terrified of Vanessa. Austin said that he is not but he doesn’t necessarily think that she is after him. He explained that he did not want it to be a situation like where Shelli took out Audrey and was then targeted.

12:00-1:00 AM: Liz told James and Meg that she hopes that they will all stay close even after someone returns. Meg said that she wants to get to the end with Austin and the twins. James agreed. Austin said that Vanessa would have the meltdown of the century if he backdoored her. He said that it would make for great TV and he kind of wants to make it happen. He hinted that it may have to happen if John or Steve win the PoV, while it could still be an option if they win the PoV as well. Julia spoke to Liz and told her that she does not understand why Austin is so set on getting to the Final 5 with James and Meg. Julia felt that James would win at that point and would then take one of them out. Julia also suggested that it would be a bad move to take out Vanessa this week, since there is no way that she is going after any of them right now. Julia also pointed out that Jackie, James and Meg will all be working together against them if Jackie gets back into the game. Liz said that they need to get to the Final 5 with Steve. Julia said that John is another option, since he is not that good. Austin, Liz and Julia chatted in the HoH room. Liz brought up that James was so quiet during their talk. Austin said that he is always quiet. He asked Liz if she thinks that James had something to hide. Liz said yes. Liz mentioned that James would come back if he got evicted this week. Austin did not want to make that move. Austin said that John will go home in the ideal situation this week. If something goes wrong, Austin said that Vanessa can be their scapegoat that they can blame everything on, since no one will believe her. If the PoV is used, Austin said that they will need to make sure that they can keep Steve safe.

1:00-2:00 AM: Austin told the twins that he wants Steve to know that Vanessa wanted them to throw HoH, sacrificing Steve. Austin wondered if Vanessa could have been working with James, trying to get them to throw HoH so that James could take them out. Austin was leaning towards nominating John with either Meg or Steve. He said that Vanessa can go up and think that she is a pawn if the veto is used. Austin had Steve come up to the HoH room. Austin informed him that Vanessa created an alliance for them with James and Meg, right after she made one with John and Steve. Austin explained that Vanessa wanted Austin, Julia and herself to be able to throw HoH and then the rest could go after each other. Austin said that he was not on board with that and therefore he won HoH. Steve asked if he is going up. Austin said maybe as a pawn but he doesn’t want to. Austin told Steve that James and Meg may be suspicious if Steve does not go on the block. Steve didn’t think that it mattered if they knew that they were working together. Vanessa joined them and said that if they want to get James out then they need to not nominate him initially so that he will feel comfortable and will throw the veto comp. Vanessa thought that nominating John and Steve together would be the best option. If nominations stay the same, Vanessa said that John would go. Vanessa said that she would go up as the pawn if Steve gave his word that he would vote John out over her. Steve was not comfortable with that plan.

Steve spoke to Austin alone. Austin told him that Vanessa is orchestrating this whole thing. Steve said that it appears as though Vanessa is siding with James and Meg over their deal and that she was set on getting him and John nominated as soon as she walked in there room. Austin said that he will not play Vanessa’s game, so he will not nominate Steve if he isn’t comfortable with it. Steve questioned Austin about who James would nominate. Austin said that he is swearing that he will not nominate them. Steve said that he also swore that he wouldn’t put Clay and Shelli up. Steve pointed out that he would not nominate Austin and the twins, while James might. He told Austin that he needs to protect the twins and himself from people that may nominate them. Steve said that he does not want to go on the block. Austin begun talking about nominating John and Vanessa. Steve asked which of those two that Austin would want to go. Austin said Vanessa 100%. Steve told Austin that he could just tell Vanessa that she is the pawn. Austin mentioned giving Vanessa their word that she is the pawn and then breaking it. Before the talk wrapped up, Austin also told Steve that Vanessa thinks that they have a Final 2 deal, because she talked to him about it on Day 2.

2:00-3:00 AM: Liz made her way up to the HoH room. Austin informed her that they are nominating John and Vanessa. Austin said that John is not going to be coming after them if he wins HoH. Steve agreed. Austin said that it would be great if nominations stayed the same, since he can send Vanessa out the door and end all of this. Austin pointed out that Vanessa is always about reasons and they have their reasons to take her out. Steve agreed. Austin told Steve that he needs to stand his ground with Vanessa. Vanessa was brought back up to the HoH room. Austin told her that Steve is not comfortable with being a pawn. Vanessa said that nobody wants to be a pawn and it would look really funny if Austin nominated her instead. Vanessa explained that she has no loyalty to John and would easily choose to vote him out over Steve. She was concerned that Steve would not do the same for her, especially after he would not guarantee her his vote when she was up against Shelli. Steve still did not want to go on the block. Vanessa said that it is almost impossible to work with him if he wont be willing to be a pawn. Steve told Vanessa that he would vote to keep her, though she did not trust that due to the aforementioned reasons. Steve threw Meg’s name out there as a potential pawn. Vanessa said that Meg should be willing to go up, since she has not won anything. Vanessa told the group that she would go up as a pawn next week if need be. She guaranteed Steve that he has her vote this week. Vanessa told Austin that she hurt her game in a big way to keep him there. Vanessa asked for three minutes alone with Austin. He said that he is done talking game and would rather wait until tomorrow.

Julia headed up to the HoH room to talk to Austin and Liz. She was freaking out because she heard John screaming in the diary room. She did not understand why he would be doing that. Austin told her that John may just be trying to put on a show. Julia felt that John needed to go. She told Austin to give Vanessa the benefit of the doubt, since she did not backdoor him. Liz said that it was bad enough that she entertained the idea. Steve had made his way to the bedroom and asked Vanessa for a hug. She declined to give him one. Vanessa said that she is not a phony and she wants him to be real with her. She said to talk about it like a man when something is bothering him. Steve said that nothing is, but Vanessa did not believe him. Steve headed back upstairs and relayed the conversation to Austin and the twins. Austin told Steve that John can stay as long as Steve can control him for next week. Steve assured him that he could do that. Liz asked who John would target if Vanessa is gone. Steve said James and Meg. Austin ultimately told Steve that he will not be nominated. He said that Vanessa likely will be, unless Meg goes up. Austin asked Steve to get John caught up on everything, which he eventually did.
