BB17 Day 43 - Jason is evicted; Julia enters and James wins HoH

July 30, 2015

10:00-11:00 AM: Clay spoke to Becky and said that him and Shelli were worried that she would be worried after seeing them talking with Jason last night. He assured her that she doesn’t have anything to worry about. Jason told Steve that he does not need his vote at this point, since he knows that he doesn’t have the votes. He then told Steve that Becky plans to target him this week, nominating him with Austin. Jason said that she also plans to nominate Clay and Shelli during the double, which he informed them about last night. Jason said that it was the only real ammo that he had but he doesn’t think that they are voting for him either way. Jason told Steve that he is in a good spot but if Becky wins HoH tonight he is not. Steve again said that Becky plans to target Steve this week. Steve thanked Jason for telling him.

2:00-3:00 PM: Jason told Jackie that he will let her know if Clay and Shelli are going to vote for him. He said that he will talk to them again but he does not expect to get their votes. He thanked Jackie and Meg for helping him. Elsewhere, Becky told Shelli that she has checked in with Jackie, John and Steve and they all said that they are voting for her. Shelli brought up that Jason claims that Becky is planning on targeting the power couple during the double eviction. Becky said that she did not even discuss her double eviction targets with Jason. Meg approached Becky in the storage room, saying that she needs to talk to her. Becky started the conversation by saying that Jason has been making up bad things about her. Meg told her that she plans to vote for Jason but she is on Becky’s side. Becky said that she doesn’t think that Jason will get the votes but she is hoping that his campaigning does not hurt her game for future weeks. Becky said that she expects it to be a 6-3 vote, with Jason getting votes from America, James and Meg. They discussed that they really need to win HoH tonight.

3:00-4:00 PM: James told Meg that he is not even going to talk to Becky. He said that Jason is his buddy and he does not have to explain that. He felt that Becky should have approached him if she wanted to know how he was planning to vote. James pointed out that it’s looking like it will only be him, Jackie and Meg now. He said that they can hopefully pull in Becky as well. In the other bedroom, John and Vanessa talked about the target shifting from Austin to Jason this week. Vanessa said that Jason did not do anything to her personally, though everyone wanted that move to be made. She said that Jason is a great player and was at the centre of a four person alliance. Vanessa told John that her word is always good and that he was safe all along. She said that it came down to keep an “injured bird” in Austin, over a capable expert in Jason. They discussed that they now have three people to target, Jackie, James and Meg. John said that he would just have to figure out his pawns if he won. Vanessa told him that Austin has offered to be a pawn to get those three out and has also said that he will blatantly throw Battle of the Block competitions. John felt that Jackie was the biggest threat to win competitions for the other side. Vanessa said that James is also good in competitions but he has thrown the past couple of HoHs.

7:00-9:00 PM: The HoH competition aired on the live feeds. The order that the houseguests dropped out of the competition was as follows:

Steve - 42 minutes
Austin - 42 minutes
Meg - 47 minutes
Julia - 47 minutes
Jackie - 1 hour 29 minutes
Liz - 1 hour 29 minutes
Becky - 1 hour 44 minutes
Clay - 1 hour 44 minutes
John - 2 hours 4 minutes
Shelli 2 hours 4 minutes

James won HoH. Before dropping, Shelli made James give his word that he would not nominate or backdoor her or Clay. James agreed and also threw John in to that deal, since he fell just seconds earlier.

9:00-10:00 PM: Liz told Julia that they are in trouble now that James is HoH. She said that it will likely be Vanessa, Austin or one of them going home this week. Julia began discussing that she doesn’t trust Austin, while Liz defended him. Austin then joined them and Julia questioned him about revealing her name to Jason. Austin said that he did it but they talked about it beforehand. Julia said that he did not talk about it with her, while Liz said that he did talk about it with her. Julia said that it was shady. Liz told her that it wasn’t meant to be shady. Liz explained that Austin was trying to open up to Jason in order to save them if Jason ended up winning HoH. Julia told Austin that she believed that he wanted to get her out and she had ill will towards him because of it. She said that she thought that they were friends. Austin told her that they are beyond friends. Julia said that he should not have had that discussion with Jason. Austin agreed. Liz said that they realize that now and that she can’t cry over spilled milk. Liz told her that you need to go to the source to find out the truth, because what she was told was not the truth.

Shelli told Vanessa that she needs to talk to someone right now. She was upset about how the HoH competition went after thinking about it. She said that she had expect to be the first one out but then she kept hanging in there and got to the end. Shelli explained that she thought that winning a third HoH would be a bad thing but she is having some regrets. Vanessa told her that she did the right thing by making a deal and not taking another HoH. Shelli was concerned because she did not want the twins to be targeted right now. Vanessa said that James is either going to target the twins or her. Clay then joined them and Shelli told him that she is going to regret not taking the HoH and keeping their six person alliance safe. Shelli spoke to Clay alone and said that James is the last person that they wanted to win HoH. Clay disagreed. Shelli told him that they will lose a Sixth Sense member or Steve and it is her fault. Clay said that it’s not her fault and that she does not owe them anything. Clay told Shelli that she did what was best for her game.

10:00-11:00 PM: Liz spoke to Julia to catch her up on what she missed over the past week. She said that James will probably nominate her and Austin. Julia was still not convinced that Austin is trustworthy. She said that Austin wanted her out. Liz said that he did not. Julia said that she really hopes that Liz is more loyal to her than to Austin. Liz said that she obviously is and she doesn’t even want to sleep in the same bed as him. Julia said that she doesn’t trust Austin, she is disgusted by him and she can’t fake it. Liz said that they are not playing Bad Girls Club and she needs to be nice to everyone in the house. Liz said that the whole time she has been thinking that she can’t wait for Julia to get there so that she doesn’t have to hang out with Austin as much. Liz explained that James seemed to throw the Battle of the Block in order to keep her nominated. Liz said that she will tell James that she played the Battle of the Block with him and kept him safe last week. She also told Julia that they need to tell James that they will not nominate or backdoor him next week. Julia said that she is sorry to say it but she hopes that Austin is targeted. They discussed that they cannot at that close in the house.

12:00-1:00 AM: Becky, Jackie, James and Meg discussed the plan for the week. Meg said that she would nominate Steve and Vanessa. James said that Steve is definitely going up. Meg said that he could pull Steve off of the block and put up Shelli, then the twins will vote to keep Austin. James said that Liz is the only person that can go up against Shelli and seal her fate. He figured that Austin, Julia, Becky, Jackie and Meg would then vote to evict Shelli. Meg brought up that Vanessa is still trying to sell herself as a solo player in the game, though she is playing the third wheel to both Clay and Shelli and Austin and Liz. Meg told Jackie that she has put some pieces together and feels that Clay and Shelli were pushing for Jackie to go on the block last week. Jackie said that Shelli needs to go. Meg said that they cannot tell anyone about the plan until after the veto competition. Meg said that Clay will be theirs if they send Shelli home. Various nomination pairings were tossed around, such as Liz and Julia, Austin and Liz and Liz and Steve.

1:00-2:00 AM: Vanessa spoke to James. He asked her if she has heard about anyone wanting to target him. Vanessa said yes but she is not a rat and doesn’t want to name names. Vanessa told James that Jason and Meg told Clay and Shelli that they don’t know where he stands and they don’t know if they can trust him. Vanessa suggested that it would be a good idea for James to make a big move this week, considering everything that went down last week. Vanessa said that he could break some things up in order to free certain people up to work with. James said that he does plan to make a big move. Vanessa told him that if he is going after someone that is her friend but it is the right game move for him, she will know that it is not personal. Vanessa said that everyone knows that she trusts Clay and Shelli but Shelli was up in there in the HoH competition and only made a deal to save Clay. She admitted that she trusts Clay and Shelli but she knows that she is their third. Vanessa did tell James that if he made a deal with Clay and Shelli that they would stick to it. Vanessa made James an offer, saying that if he doesn’t nominate or backdoor her then he will be safe whenever she wins her next HoH. She also said that she would allow him to protect one other person if the HoH was prior to the Final 7.

2:00-3:00 AM: Austin spoke to James and told him that his goal is to get to jury. He said that he is not playing for first anymore. James asked Austin to help him get him to jury. Austin offered James his jury vote and also said that he would throw HoH next week if it’s what James wanted. James said that throwing the competition is not necessary. He said that he wants to work with Austin and the twins. Austin said that they all want to work with him too. James asked if Austin is okay with Meg. Austin said that he is and was having fun with them last week. James then asked Austin who he would like to see targeted. Austin said that people were on board with sending Steve out last week, though he does not want to throw him under the bus after he helped to save him. James asked Austin if he would have his support in terms of a vote if he made a big move. Austin said 100%. James then spoke to the twins, telling them that they are safe with him. Liz then told James that the twins want to make it jury together. Julia said that they want to work with James since he is a straight shooter and is honest. Liz said that it’s a 2 for 1 deal and that they will not nominate him if they win HoH. Liz pointed out that they are two votes. James said that they are actually three votes, since he wants to work with Austin too. Julia told James that they love Meg as well. James told the twins that he will need their votes if he makes a big move.

Becky went to Clay and told him that Jackie, James and Meg have been discussing blindsiding Clay and Shelli. Clay asked who is considering that and who brought it up first. Becky said that all three are gung-ho about it. Becky told Clay that he needs to act happy and oblivious to it all, otherwise both Clay and Shelli will end up getting nominated together. Vanessa told Clay that her talk with James went well and she believes that they are staying this week. Clay said that he thinks that James would take the opportunity to blindside him or Shelli if given the chance. She said that she made a deal not to nominate James if she wins HoH. Clay then spoke to Shelli, telling her that Becky pulled him aside and said that Jackie, James and Meg want to blindside them, since they believe that they were the ones behind Jason’s nomination. Shelli asked if James is going back on the deal that he made with her. Clay said that they feel that since they went back on the group of eight last week, that that is out the door. Clay said that Becky mentioned watching out for Vanessa, since she may have her own agenda. Shelli then said that she wanted to get Meg right now so that she knows that they know what is being said. Clay told her that it would expose Becky if she did that. Shelli was mad that Vanessa is the one that brought up Jason’s name and they are taking the blame for it. Shelli said that she wants to go tell James everything, because it seems like Vanessa is letting them take the blame. She then changed her mind and said that she wants to talk this all over with Vanessa.

3:00-4:00 AM: James told Becky, Jackie and Meg that he let Austin and the twins know that they are not the target. Meg said that Vanessa would be the best option for a nominee, since she is the only one that Clay and Shelli would use the veto on. She said that the other side would use the veto on Liz, so that would be a good second nominee. James said that Liz wont like going on the block. Meg suggested that they could always bring Austin, Liz and Julia upstairs and tell them that one of them needs to volunteer, like the others did to them last week. Jackie said that they need to ensure that Clay, Shelli or Vanessa leave. They discussed pretending that the plan is to backdoor Austin or Steve. James said that he would likely nominate Clay if Shelli uses the PoV on Vanessa. Jackie, James and Meg agreed that they need to get close with Austin and the twins this week. Meg said that she trusts them more than she trusts Clay and Shelli.

Elsewhere, Shelli told Vanessa that the others think that her and Clay are the reason that Jason is gone and they are the only ones taking the blame for it. Vanessa said that’s untrue. Shelli explained that they may be going on the block. Vanessa said that if only one of them is on the block, the other side will not have the votes. Shelli wanted to go expose everything and get Austin and the twins targeted. Vanessa said that Shelli would be blowing up her game if she did that. Shelli was also irritated that Becky is floating between both sides. Vanessa said that they could sell her out if needed. Clay and Shelli then spoke to James. He told them that he is thinking of going after Austin. James said that he only trusts Clay, Shelli and Meg. He said that he didn’t understand why Shelli cut a deal with him, since she should have known that they were good with him. Shelli said that she wanted to feel that it was solid after hanging up there. James assured them that he has never felt bad about them but was a bit weary about the whole Jason thing.

6:00-7:00 AM: James told Meg that he is thinking of going straight for the jugular. He said that Clay and Shelli feel very safe and he is thinking that he should go for the blindside and nominate both Clay and Shelli. James said that you double your chances of getting them out by nominating them together. James said that they will be mad at him even if he nominates one. He felt that it would show their loyalties to Austin and the twins. Meg said that the only sucky thing that could happen is if Vanessa wins PoV and saves Shelli. James said he is going to get blood on his hands regardless and he has numbers in his group so back him up. James said that he is pretty set on his decision to nominate Clay and Shelli. Meg felt that it was best to talk to Austin again before nominations, saying that he is making a big move and he needs him on his side to protect him. James later spoke to Becky and Jackie, telling them both that he plans to nominate Clay and Shelli at this point.
