BB17 Day 39 - Jason becomes the target

July 26, 2015

8:00-9:00 AM: Clay told Shelli that he knows where Vanessa is coming from when she doesn’t want to get rid of Becky after she volunteered to go up. Shelli said that it’s not fair to Jackie to leave, as is currently the plan, when she was HoH either though. Clay told her that they aren’t playing for fairness. Clay said that Austin told a little white lie and he has paid for that and is freaking out. Clay felt that Austin would no doubt be loyal to them for a few more weeks. Shelli discussed with Clay that Vanessa can explain that Liz told Vanessa that the twins will not be playing HoH for her if Austin leaves, though she will have the two twins and Austin on her side if she saves him. Clay and Shelli wanted to talk to Jason and Meg about the plan, saying that they will have safety next week if this happen. Clay said that they need to make sure that they are okay with people going after James and Jackie. Clay figured that they would jump at any situation to help them get further. Shelli said that they already said last night that they were okay with James being targeted. Clay said that he thinks that Jackie needs to go, since she is the type that would be spiteful and nominate the two of them if she found out that they have been behind this move. On the other hand, he thought that Becky would go after Austin and the twins. They agreed that they need to let Becky know that they are keeping her safe.

9:00-10:00 AM: Shelli told Clay that the only people that Vanessa would be going against by taking out Jackie would be James and then Jackie herself, who would be leaving anyway. Shelli said that Jackie will be so upset on Monday. Clay said that she hasn’t done anything for him. Shelli said that Jackie wouldn’t put them up, but Clay questioned who would. Shelli told him that most people probably will pretty soon. Clay mentioned that they need to run things by John and make sure that he is on board with them. Clay told Shelli that John told him that he would go after James, Jason and Meg if he won next week. Clay said that when he spoke to Steve yesterday you could tell that he really wants to be with a group. Clay told Shelli that Steve questioned why they would target Austin when he is a number for them, so he is on board. Shelli said that it irritated her that Vanessa didn’t tell Steve that the two of them wanted to make sure that he didn’t go up on the block. Clay wondered if they should fill John in on things. Shelli said that they definitely can once they talk to Jason and Meg, though they can’t tell him about the bigger group that they are with. Shelli pointed out that they don’t even have to tell Jason and Meg and could just tell John since that’s the last vote that they would need. She thought that it would be dangerous to have everyone but James in on the plan. Clay thought that they could have Meg tell James at the last second. Shelli said that they can’t guarantee everyone safety or fill them all in on the plan.

10:00-11:00 AM: Austin headed up to the HoH room. He told Liz and Vanessa that he listened at the door and heard some stuff. He said that he heard Jason say that the twins are coming in but they will send one out right away. More importantly, he said that he heard the others discussing that Becky went to Steve and talked about working with her, Jackie, Meg and Jason. Austin said that Becky told Steve that he has to start giving up more information if he is going to work with them. Vanessa said that she has what she needs as long as Steve can confirm it. After Austin left, Liz told Vanessa that she is going to target Jason if she wins HoH.

11:00-12:00 PM: Vanessa told Shelli about the information that Austin came to her with. Shelli pointed out that Austin claimed to overhear something during her HoH week as well, so she needs to be careful. Vanessa planned to confirm it with Steve. Vanessa talked to Liz, looking for a reason to nominate someone other than Austin. Liz said that Jason is the glue to the minions. Vanessa said that if Austin would admit to being the vote to keep Da’Vonne then she would have reason to evict Jason, cause he lied about it being Audrey. Liz went outside and spoke to Jason. She headed back upstairs and told Vanessa that Jason said that him, Becky and Meg were outside last night telling Steve ways not to be a creep. Liz figured that they were actually trying to get him to work with them. Liz said that Jason is the mastermind behind the whole operation. Vanessa said that Becky, Jackie, James and Meg would be lost without him.

Clay, Shelli and Steve spoke in the have-not room. Steve said that he believes that James, Jason and Meg are working with Becky and Jackie. He thought that Jeff brought them together. Steve told them that he is focused on getting Jackie, Jason or Meg nominated, then they can decide on the target later in the week. Steve figured that the best approach would be to get Vanessa to nominate whoever would get the least blood on her hands. Clay said that Meg is the least threatening of those three. It was mentioned that Jackie is going to be upset with Vanessa and coming after her no matter what now at this point. They discussed who needs to be the target. They figured that taking out Becky would bring John closer to them, though Shelli questioned if John would be mad about it. They decided that John cannot know about the current plan to target Becky.

12:00-1:00 PM: Vanessa told Liz that they need to figure out what really happened with the phone booth and the power of the last laugh. She suggested that Da’Vonne would have cancelled out Clay’s vote, so it was not her. Vanessa concluded that it was Jackie and that she cancelled out her own vote to hide it. Vanessa discussed approaching Becky and telling her that Austin is not going up and that Becky will be the target unless she comes clean about what she knows about the phone booth. She later said that she could do a similar thing with Jason, questioning him about what he knows and telling him that he has one chance to come clean. Vanessa figured that she could use this to flip things on that side and find a reason to nominate someone other than Austin. Vanessa went to the have-not room and told Shelli and Steve that she is up to something big and she has got it all set up.

1:00-2:00 PM: Vanessa talked to Steve about his conversation with Becky last night, asking if he felt that they were trying to work with him. Steve said that he thinks that Becky was trying to campaign for a vote. Vanessa asked him to think about whether or not anything was said that she can use against Becky as a reason to target her. Vanessa went over her theory that Da’Vonne did not have the power of the last laugh and that it was likely Jackie. She figured that the person left votes on each side of the house because they made deals to keep themselves safe with everyone. Vanessa also believed that Jason was lying about Audrey saying that she was the other vote to keep Da’Vonne. Steve tried to go through the votes and did not understand who else it would have been or what Vanessa is getting at. Vanessa thought that it was possible that Becky and Jason voted to evict James over Jeff. She said that Jason may have made a deal with the power holder, allowing him to vote in the Da’Vonne eviction. She eventually considered that John may have been the one with the power, which could explain why he had a strange loyalty to Jeff.

2:00-3:00 PM: Vanessa told Clay and Shelli about her theory that either Jeff, Jackie or John won the power of the last laugh. She began discussing her theory about who voted to evict James over Jeff. Shelli mentioned that Jeff admitted to having an alliance with James, Jason and Meg. Vanessa then concluded that Jason and Meg were the votes to save Jeff, not Jason and Becky like she had previously thought. Clay and Shelli said that it makes sense. Vanessa concluded that Jason has to go. She thinks that she can prove that Jason lied to her. She wants to talk to him and confront him about the vote and also about the last laugh power. Shelli said that it would not be right to send Becky home. Clay agreed, since Becky volunteered to go on the block. Vanessa asked what happens if she is wrong. Clay said that it doesn’t matter and that they all have to go. Vanessa wondered if it was best to let Austin go up and fight for himself. Clay said that keeping Austin safe is best for their games.

3:00-4:00 PM: Austin went up to the HoH room to talk to Clay, Shelli and Vanessa. He said that he is convinced that Becky, Jackie, Jason and Meg are together. Vanessa asked him who he sees as the strongest of those four. Austin said Jason, due to his mouth and how much he knows about the game. Jackie came up in the middle of the conversation to grab something out of the bathroom. Vanessa was irritated by that and also by finding out that Jackie was questioning Austin in order to figure out what he did to betray Vanessa, even though Vanessa told her that she didn’t need to know. After Jackie left, Vanessa told Clay and Shelli that if she nominates Jackie then she has to be the one to go. She said that she promised Jackie that she wouldn’t backdoor her but it doesn’t mean much when she knows that Jackie will come after her anyway. Vanessa said that she needs to catch Jackie in a lie to give her a reason to make the move. Clay said that if Jackie goes and Jason wins HoH, they can probably steer him in a different direction than targeting Vanessa Shelli said that he would target the twins, Austin and Steve first. Austin told Liz and then Clay and Shelli that he overheard Jackie telling the others that Vanessa is upstairs with Clay, Shelli and himself, so she is going to go up there and shower. Jackie had ended up going back up to the HoH room.

9:00-10:00 PM: Vanessa, James and Liz enjoyed their dinner that they won from the Battle of the Block. Austin, Becky and Clay also attended it. Once they returned, Austin told Vanessa about how he heard Jackie run downstairs and tell the others that the two of them, Clay and Shelli were upstairs talking and that she would go shower there to break it up. Austin said that if Jackie goes on the block he is willing to call out Jason in order to make himself the target for next week. Vanessa said that she may be able to catch Jason in a lie about the Jeff vote and the phone booth power. Austin said that he is willing to call Jackie out instead then if Jason goes on the block. Vanessa said that Jason is the mastermind of the operation, so taking him out does the most damage to the other side. Austin agreed.

10:00-11:00 PM: Vanessa asked Becky if she knows who the additional votes for Jeff were. Becky said that she did not vote for Jeff and she told Jackie that. She thought that Liz was one of the votes, since Jeff really connected with Liz during his final week. Becky said that he genuinely liked one of the twins, so it would have made sense for them to vote to keep him. Vanessa then asked if she knew who had the phone booth power. Becky said that she doesn’t know but she thinks that it was Da’Vonne. Vanessa pointed out that it would be odd for Da’Vonne not to cancel out the votes from James and Clay. Becky agreed. Becky said that her reason for thinking that it was Da’Vonne is that she did not campaign for her vote at all, which would make sense if she knew that she was going to cancel it out all along. Vanessa said that it’s plain as day to her who had the power and it was not Da’Vonne. Vanessa asked if Becky had any doubts about the eight person group. Becky said that James makes her a bit nervous, mainly because she has not talked to him much. Vanessa said that she needs to figure these things out because she believes that Austin is loyal and lied because he was falling in love. Either way, Vanessa assured Becky that she has nothing to worry about this week. Vanessa said that she likes the way that Becky plays the game and trusts her. Becky said that she is prepared for a 6-3 vote this week, so she wont be surprised if a couple of people consider voting her out.

12:00-1:00 AM: Vanessa told Steve that she believes that it would blow up her game at this point to do anything but nominate Austin, since she has not gotten any info to use against anyone. Vanessa said that her gut tells her that it’s a terrible move but she does not want to go against her word. Steve said that taking out Austin could lead to a 6 on 6 divide next week. Clay joined them and found out that Vanessa did not want to get all of the blood on her hands. She said that Austin may have to go. Clay said that he can get Becky and John on board. Vanessa said that she will keep Austin off of the block if that happens. Steve told Vanessa that she will have more people protecting her if she keeps Austin in the game. Her fear is that she will be a target for numerous people if she saves Austin. Steve did not think that talking to Becky would be worthwhile. He expects that she would run back to the other side and tell them everything.

1:00-2:00 AM: Vanessa told Clay and Shelli that they can bring Becky in to a group with them. Shelli thought that they could tell Becky that Austin has offered to go on the block and that keeping him in with the twins will place three targets ahead of them. Shelli also wanted to tell Becky that they are concerned that she may not have the votes over Austin. She said that they could even spin in that the twins could possibly come in before the vote, implying that that’s an extra vote to save Austin. Vanessa questioned why they are trying to save Austin when they are not a target for anyone if they let him go. Clay said that they are leaving themselves open to losing the power if they take out Austin and lose an HoH or two. Clay and Shelli said that they are willing to draw a line in the sand. Vanessa said that the other side will crumble without Jason, since he is their only strategic player. Clay said that he doesn’t think that Vanessa needs a reason to make the move, other than that it is a game and it is best for her game. Shelli said that it’s not farfetched that Austin could have worked a deal with her. Vanessa said that she does not sell out her word for a better deal. Shelli pointed out that the eight person alliance is going tot make out Steve and the twins, who are three people that they can work with. Shelli said that they would be the next targets after that, since they will have lost their numbers. Clay mentioned that they would also not have anyone left to nominate if they stick to the eight. Shelli said that James, Jason and Meg are only with Vanessa because she is in power this week.

Becky came up to the HoH room. Shelli told her that they really want to protect her and are concerned about the votes. Shelli and Vanessa explained that the twins and Austin are offering to be numbers for them moving forward and they can win HoH for them as well. They discussed that those three are not really big game players and therefore they are good people to have around. They then told Becky that James, Jason and Meg are playing the middle and only siding with them now that they are in power. Becky mentioned that something seemed off when James helped Liz during the Battle of the Block, telling her that “Christine” was spelled incorrectly. That made Vanessa wonder if he wanted to win in order to target Clay. Vanessa told Becky that they are at the bottom of the eight person alliance. She asked if Becky knew about the alliance between James, Jason, Jeff and Meg. Becky did not. Vanessa suggested that Jackie has now replaced Jeff in that alliance. Becky said that she is not in that alliance. Vanessa told her that Austin and Liz are like them, are people that they can work with and are also targets in front of them. Becky said that she has been wanting to work with Clay, Shelli and Vanessa for a while now. They all agreed that they felt that way and have been waiting for the right time.

2:00-3:00 AM: Vanessa asked if Becky wants to pull in Jackie or John. She said John. Vanessa then informed Becky that Jason would be the new target. Shelli went over the votes and said that there would be eight votes against Jason. Becky felt safer up against Austin but said that she believes that she would have the votes over Jason too. Clay told Becky that she cannot tell Jackie about what’s going on. Becky said that she will not and that she only stuck to Jackie because she did not have a group and did not have numbers. Vanessa asked Becky if she should warn Jackie ahead of time. Becky said that Jason would be filled in immediately if she did that, so not unless she wants everything to erupt and Jason to have a chance to campaign. Becky and Clay agreed that Jackie should be spoken to after the veto ceremony. Austin and Liz were called up to the HoH room. Vanessa said that Austin needs to be willing to go up as a pawn and throw competitions if needed. Austin agreed. She said that he has to make it clear that he is not playing for first place, which he also agreed with. Austin said that he owes them everything and he will be willing to call people out on the other side to make himself a target. Vanessa said that everyone better keep her in the house when she is on the block next week. They all assured her that there is no way that they will let her go.
