Big Brother 16 Finale Date Announcement

August 4, 2014

The Big Brother 16 finale date has been announced. Big Brother 16's finale will be on Wednesday September 24th from 9:30-11:00 PM ET, following the premiere of Survivor. That means that it will be the longest season ever, spanning 97 days. Big Brother 15 was the longest season to date, spanning 90 days. Given the number of houseguests remaining, following this week's double eviction, a single houseguest could be evicted each Thursday the rest of the way to leave us at the Final 3 on September 18th.

While it remains to be seen what Big Brother has in store, the extended season makes it easy for a houseguest to be brought back at some point. As mentioned above, there would be no need for a second double eviction or for the typical Tuesday eviction near season's end. The addition of either of the two would allow for a houseguest to be brought back without issue. Joey, Paola, Devin, Brittany and Amber were not sequestered, so the returning houseguest, if there is one, would have to be someone that has yet to be evicted.
